Bought my 9300t in March, tested it and it was fine, all channels present etc. But not used until recently, when I noticed after retuning that the BBC channels are now in the 800's and do not appear in the guide atall where all the BBC channels are mentioned. There are just empty spaces. So while I am receiving them I can only watch live and not set for future recording.
Can anyone help please. Is this related perhaps to the recent problems with the guide, or maybe my PVR requires a software update. Everything was fine back in March !
I wondered if, as I AM receiving BBC channels there is some way I can kind of rename or rejig them, so they show up in the guide, where they should be.
This might sound naive but I'm not very tekky I'm afraid ! (Have familiarised myself with this model quite well though).

I had a similar thing on itv. What I suggest is to find out the channels the 5 or 6 muxes are transmitted on for your area. Then do a manual scan for each channel, saving the results each time. You shouldn't then get any 800's, but if you do, then likely you can just delete them. But check the signal strength first.

You're almost certainly receiving from two transmitters to get channels in the 800s.

Use the http://www.digitaluk.co.uk/postcodechecker/ to find out the transmitter(s) that most likely serve you and the multiplex frequencies.... you'll need to switch to the 'trade view' to do this.

First make a note of all your reservations (scheduled recordings) as these will be wiped by the next steps...

Unplug the aerial. Do an auto scan (this will delete all existing tuned channels and find none). Then plug the aerial back in, and select Manual tuning.... and plug in the numbers you'v got from the postcode checker.

This should sort things out but you will need to keep the info safe as you'll need the same process whenever a re-tune is needed to add / remove new TV stations etc.,.

You can check if you're Humax sofware is up to date from the menu - Status - System option --- the current version is .23 It has been broadcast OTA (over the air) fairly recently.

This will only work if running software v23.

The reason for doing a Manual Search is to target the six (five after DSO) multiplexes coming only from your preferred transmitter. The UHF channel numbers for your six/five multiplexes (digital channels) from your preferred transmitter can be obtained from the digitaluk web-site, enter your post code and also tick the "I am in the aerial installation trade" box. Your UHF channel numbers are in the grey columns in the Coverage prediction section. The compass bearing for the available transmitters at your address are also shown so you can check to see which transmitter your aerial is actually pointing at. You should only use the transmitter that your aerial is pointing at.

First you need to delete all existing channels.
Menu > Edit Channels > Edit Channel Lists > Password (0000) and delete all TV channels, note there is a Select All button. Go to Group, select Radio and delete all the radio channels. Press Exit on the remote control and when invited save all the changes.

You will now get a message saying No channels are available……, press OK. You should now be taken to the Installation menu, choose Manual Search. Select the first UHF channel number obtained from the digitaluk web-site for Channel (actually the order doesn’t matter) and press Search. When the search completes, Save. Select the next UHF channel number for Channel and press Search.....Save. Repeat this for all six/five UHF channel numbers and to finish press the Exit button. You will now find all your Freeview channels on their correct numbers with none in the 800 range. Good luck.
