The unit is a Sony SAW-301 anyone got opinions on these?

Many thanks,

I think that's the one that came with my set.

It's definately got enough umph to make it's presence felt.

Not familiar with this model, but 75w should be plenty as long as the room isn't huge!

I have a 100 watt subwoofer, and only had it on full volume once, by accident. I was moving it and the cable rubbed against the volume control and put it to max.

I watched Ronin, and at the point where they fire a bazooka at a car, the whole room shook so much that drinks were toppled on the coffee table!! Luckily my downstairs neighbour was out at the time!

Ummm i have:
150watt rms sub in a 2.1 surround
210watt rms sub in 7.1 surround
each sat speaker 70watt rms

Both systems linked to my PC sound card with my TV/VCR/PS2 hooked up also.

Thats in my bedroom of size 2.6m by 2.8meters.

Ive never had the bass at max at same time of each sub, dont want the neighbours down the road complaining in this quiet street lol.

Im an electrician, got conduits inside my walls and everything, got no wires trailing visually anywhere except behind actual equipment, all nice and neat

So thats in my bedroom, my dad has a standard-ish 5.1 set up in the lounge, sub is 50 or 70watts rms linked only from the VCR.
