It's not that you're particularly smart, Matt. It's that everyone else is stunningly stupid, at least so far. |

Britney has found a new Monet.
![]() Britney is still the star of the show. Matt isn't as smart as he thinks he is, can't wait until his game comes crashing down. |

Matt confirms he is a moron as I suspected. If you want one of the couple to leave, put them both on the block against each other. Idiot. If Kathy or Andrew leave, then he has completely wasted his HoH and the couple will still be looking at him and his cronies.

I don't really like Matt, and he isn't as smart as he thinks he is, but he is sitting pretty right now. He has a deal in place with Rachel and Brendon if they win HoH next week, he is obviously safe with The Brigade, Ragan is in love with the guy, he isn't on Britney or Kristen's target list, and the only two people against him are currently on the block. But sooner or later he'll get what's coming to him. |

The Dan Gheesling winning in the face of idiocy prize?
![]() Dan was an awesome player, yeah a lot of the cast that season were idiots, but he still played an excellent game, and is probably the second best player of all time behind Dr Will. Matt is acting like he's already won the show, and that never bodes well. For all the confidence that Dan and Will had, they never let it fall over in to cockiness, they were very aware of what could go wrong. Matt thinks he really is a "diabolical super genius", and that's what's going to burn him in the end. |

Odd choice of nominees.. Unless Andrew wins the veto I can see him going. If Kathy goes then thats 3 girls in a row!

...... For all the confidence that Dan and Will had, they never let it fall over in to cockiness.......
LOL there never was any player cockier than Dr Will. His first words in Season 7 : "These fools don't know what's about to hit them...." But he was gloriously funny with it too. He talked the talk and walked the walk. I think in some respects, Matt is trying to copy Will's game from that Season: Don't fear going on the block....welcome it (when you have the vote) and keep big targets in the game (so long as they're not targeting him) just as Will used Janelle as a shield, so Matt is using BrenChel. Matt is a very watchable player, to me atleast. |

But what I meant was, Will was always aware of where he stood in the game. For example in Season 2 he was very aware of the threat that Nicole posed, he admitted he was genuinely afraid of her in the game. In All Stars he knew when his time was up, "That's it Mike, I'm going home." after he saw Janelle and Erika talking. He didn't try to pretend he was in control when he wasn't, the thing was, that most of the time he WAS in control, which justified his confidence. Matt hasn't really done a whole lot to warrant his level of confidence. |

Hmnnnn, but I think he does know what he's doing, he's clearly the brains of The Brigade (not saying much, I know), he's definitely the senior partner in his side alliance with Ragan and he knows Brendon and Rachel are desperate for friends and allies and he'll bleed them until they are dry. Even when they tried to call him out on his game playing, he made them look bad and Britney trusts him even more!
Not bad in my book...... His ideas are too off the wall, I mean the whole acting paranoid thing, he thought that would keep the target off him, instead it put it right on him. He thinks his wife lie is good for sympathy, yet housemates who have a sympathy card are often voted out of Big Brother because they are a threat for jury votes. I think he'll definitely make the jury, but I think he is in for a big slip up somewhere down the line. |

I agree that right now he's in a good position............ but I think he is in for a big slip up somewhere down the line.
Matt's approach to the game is definitely a high-wire walk and yes, he may well fall. But that will be just as watchable to me, as it would if he makes F2. |
