She peaked at 36 on sunday but is now 31 in midweek and will probally enter the top 30 by tommorow. I wonder how much longer it could climb for, could be the "Sweet About Me" of 2010. which peaked months after it's psyhical release.

You're being a bit hopeful.

Didn't she perform it on that new Saturday night itv show - the one that's basically an X Factor/BGT love-in? That'll be why it's starting to rise. It won't last long.

Sweet About Me was a sleeper hit because Gabriella Cilmi was a new artist at the time and was gradually gaining popularity. Diana Vickers has already had loads of promotion and airplay. This week is a one-off

I think she's got a decent shot of making the top 25, but that's about it

Vickers is on the way out....All the promotion for the song and it did nothing.

I wouldn't be surprised if it climbs in the coming weeks.

However I think the song is massively overrated, it's nothing at all special and you can barely understand a word she's "singing".

To be a bit more positive and complimentary though, Diana is incredibly cute on the advert for her album. She looks adorable.

My first post on these forums!

The single may not be doing so well, but it's put the album back into the charts at a nice position and that's the point of singles: to get the album to sell.

You've got to take into account the price cuts too though.

From #42 to #19 before the price cuts even took effect.

I don't rate Diana at all and thought 'Once' was terrible, but I was pleasantly surprised by this - its a decent pop song! Deserves to be in the top 20 IMO, but can't see it rising that much... don't forget 'Sweet About Me' climbed gradually after being used on a TV advert.

Anyone think that she might be more of an album artist than a singles one? The album is great, and seems to be selling quite well.

She'll be dropped soon. The quicker the better, her voice is like nails on a blackboard.

It is far too early in Diana's career to even bother saying she'll be dropped soon. You might not like her but she's going to be around for a good while I reckon. Besides, she's already started working on her second album.

She won't be dropped at the moment, he first album (even though it had low debut sales) was number 1. She's working on her second album too.

Having a no.1 album doesn't count for much on it's own these days - just look at Christina's latest

I agree, the chart position is pretty irrelevant but Diana's album has gone Gold (100k) which is probably why RCA have agreed to the second album.

It's not fair to use Christina as an example, she's the type of artist that is invincible to being dropped just because she's considered a legend.

If Diana's next album flops the she might be dropped or they'll just start putting less production into her. She'd make a good album artist like Florence or Paloma. They're trying to hard to make her another Pixie Lott.
