Will unplugging the arial require a re-scan?

May be a bit of a daft question but I'm not sure of the technicalities involved. If I unplug the arial will I have to re-scan for channels? I ask because the reception using our current arial is somewhat hit and miss and I've got a signal booster from a relative that I am considering using. As reception is currently borderline I would rather not risk a re-scan at present.

you will not need to rescan.

doesn't do any harm to fit the booster and scan for new channels anyway. if anything it'll (more than likely) help.
