hi,

I am having a carry on with BT and a line fault that I can't get figure out what the problem is.

About two weeks ago I started having problems watching any videos online. They were all sticking. I thought it was just coz it was a busy time but problem persisted.
A friend checked my computer and line speed and said everything was fine so we couldn't work out why the videos were all still sticking. The internet in general has been slow.

I was dreading calling BT because it continuously takes ages to get anything from them (had a great argument with them a few years ago when they told me for about a month that my flat didn't exist.....) but eventually tried to get through. Had the predictable problems of going through all the wrong departments, being put on hold a few times and then quietly cut off, and eventually was told that there might be a fault with the line, that there isn't a fault with the broadband and that I need to contact the landline department - I thought I had as was given the same number again.
Tried to contact them, got cut off again.... I don't have a landline connected to the phone line as I only use it for internet so have been spending a fortune calling BT from my mobile only to get cut off.

anyone got any ideas???? I'm hoping I may get some help here and not have to try to call BT yet again......

I don't have an actual phone to connect to the landline to test it this way. I only have a mobile.

What results do you get when you do a speed test?

Are all your codecs, flash version etc etc up to date?
