i have loved this year for music, usually it's 5 albums a year that i love and the rest pales down, 2007 and 2008 i only had about 4 albums that i genuinely LOVED then 2009 suddenly people got more creative and more new names came to light and more great albums and then this year WOAH! overboard.

My personal favourites are-

Gorillaz-Plastic Beach(LOVE this album so,so much)
Janelle Monae-The ArchAndroid(one of the greatest debuts i have EVER heard!)
Madonna-Sticky & Sweet Tour CD/DVD-(okay not a STUDIO album but i loved it when i was there and now have it in HD glory, and CD sound is just so vibrant, love the woman a genuine entertainer and icon!Biggest Tour By A Solo Artist and this proves why.)
Christina Aguilera-Bionic(underrated!)
Foals-Total Life Forever
XX-XX(JUSt wow!)
Robyn-Body Talk Part 1(Part 2 is bound to be a fave!)
Kelis-Fleshtone
Ellie Goulding-Lights
Marina & The DIamonds-The Family Jewell's
Paloma Faith-Do You Want The Truth Or Something Beautiful?(okay released last November but bought it this March and it's terrific!)

and guilty pleasures-
The Scissor Sisters-Night Work
Kylie Minogue-Aphrodite
and i'm pretty sure Katy Perry's,McFly's and BRITNEY's albums will be some brilliant albums too in different degrees of awesomeness and if Rihanna releases an album at the end of the year then her's will be included too.

it is ingenius i was really surprised, it's like psychadelia with old skool funk, rock ome pop elements and acoustics and big band in there too and it's like a film on a disc i wish she'd promote the album over here! it's darn brilliance and so very very cool too!

and yes i wanna check out Plan B's latest album there's some great reviews i have read about it, i like the sound of his 2 singles, not keen on his other album though! but may check it out later this year

Janelle Monae - The ArchAndroid
John Grant - Queen of Denmark
Beach House - Teen Dream
Delays - Star Tiger, Star Ariel
The National - High Violet
Owen Pallett - Heartland
Jonsi - Go
Shearwater - The Golden Archipelago
Olafur Arnalds - ... and they have escaped the weight of darkness
The Radio Dept. - Clinging to a Scheme
These New Puritans - Hidden
Jeremy Messersmith - The Reluctant Graveyard

Still haven't got round to giving School of Seven Bells' and The Divine Comedy's albums a proper listen, so these might be added to the list at a later date.

Would love to have added Fionn Regan's second album down here as well but I just can't get into it.... the tunes are catchy but it doesn't have nearly as much depth and beauty as his debut...

My favourite albums so far are:

Gabriella Cilmi - Ten
Alphabeat - The Beat Is... (This is more a 2009 album for me, but it got its UK release in 2010)
M.I.A. - Maya
Robyn - Body Talk Part 1 (I think Part 3 will most likely be my favourite album of 2010)

And these are quite good in places but I wouldn't call them my favourites:

Goldfrapp - Head First
Miley Cyrus - Can't Be Tamed
Sugababes - Sweet 7

Basically an OK year but not great. I'm looking forward to these albums (hopefully) being released this year: Britney, Robyn, Alesha Dixon, The Saturdays, Mark Ronson, Wynter Gordon, Nadine Coyle, Eva Simons. If Sugababes could get a new album out in time for Christmas, that would be great too.

It has been a great year for albums in terms of quality. Shame hardly any of them have sold much though. Some of my favourites:

Marina & The Diamonds - The Family Jewels
Goldfrapp - Head First
Pendulum - Immersion
Delphic - Acolyte
Gorillaz - Plastic Beach
Kylie - Aphrodite
Scissor Sisters - Night Work

And there's a lot I'm looking forward too later in the year, particularly Royksopp's new one.

The same to you as well. You should definitely give the Janelle Monae album a listen as well when you get the chance, I reckon you would really like it. Tip-top album

I think its just speculation, I don't really keep up on Britney's album news to be honest. But almost all her albums have been released at the end of the year, and theres that Britney episode of Glee coming up in September. So if the albums ready, then I think October/November would be the best possible time to release it. Another X Factor performance would be great too, although I'm not holding out too much hope.
