I am running i-tunes on a Windows XP machine. It works fine until you burn a cd. You choose the playlist and it burns it to cd. However whenever i try to play my burned cd in any cd player it doesnt work correctly. The number of tracks appear but if you go to any of them other than one there is nothing there. If you put in the cd and press play then the songs will all play in the correct order but are all held within track one. Its a real pain in the arse.

I am burning CD-Rs not RWs. Does anyone know where i might be going wrong?

Are you burning an 'audio cd' - look in the options, you can choose between MP3 CD, Data CD and Audio CD.

The only other thing I can think of is that the GEAR Security driver which handles iTune's burning isn't compatible with your writer.

Yup im using "Audio CD". Must check out some different software then. Has anybody any suggestions what to get? I dont think i can stump up the money for Nero. How are the bundled packages like Windows Media Player?

Never had any problems with iTunes, and use it over the copy of Roxio (very unfriendly to use) that came on the machine because Roxio forces a 2-second track gap and iTunes gives you a choice (now if only iTunes mp3 playback was gapless).

One thing with audio CDs though - check the "finalise session" options - you probably need to do this to make the CD playable in normal CD players.
