I want to get the original factory presets back on my good old telly. I think I fiddled with all of them too much and now, if a bright colour is on the screen, the picture is all over the place! I would also like to get instruction manual, if anyone is in the know.

If it's the same TV I'm thinking about (I think mine has an A in the model number, otherwise identical) then there is an optimum button inder the flap on the remote control.

Thanks, but I don't have the original remote but I expect the front-of-set buttons do the same thing. When you press 'optimum button', does the tv display similar to the following? ->.<-
I didn't think that reset your tv to 'factory levels'. Surely 'optimum' is set-up to your own personal preferences. I was told that there were engineer/installers procedures which reset all aspects of the tv, not just those normally accessible to the armchair user, and that is what I really need, I think.- (if there is such a thing)

my mitsu has a small button hidden on the back panel (it looks like a hole but if you look closely you can see theres a button behind it). If I press this whilst turning on the power it factory defaults, but it defaults to euro standard (no sound!!) so if it works for you you'll have to fiddle with hte setup menus again to get it back into UK (can't remember how sorry)
