LCD TV 15/17 views appreciated
Hi
I'm in the market for an LCD 15 or 17 inch TV - purely as a second TV and probably be mainly used for kids plus sport when I lose the fight for the main set. The reason I'm thinking of going LCD is for space saving in a small room by hanging it on the wall (plus shallow enough to admit I like the way they look Any views as to what I should be looking at in terms of manufacturer? Cheers |

My brother has a 17" Grundig LCD that he got second hand from a friend - seems a nice little set in all fairness. It's probably about 18 months old at a guess and has quite a good picture considering the low resolution of TV pictures in comparison to the native resolutions of such LCD screens - I think they tend to be around 1280x768.
Remember because of the way TV pictures are interleaved so you get steady motion on a CRT, as screens such as LCD's are progressive scan in nature it might seem the picture is a little 'soft' on edges at first, but you can get used to it quite quickly. |

Ive got a SHARP 22" which is a great TV, after checking many (and i mean many) reviews I think sharp are the best ones out there, check out : http://www.whatvideotv.com/testbench/index.html - they've got a long list of reviewed LCDs.
