I only watch it because I love Ice skating, it would be nice to see the Pro's have a bigger part to play,but unfortunately that isn't likely to happen. I have very little interest in the "celebs"....and I use the term losely although I loved watching Haley, Jessica and Suzanne.
I just wonder how long it can keep going before the coffin is finally nailed down on it!

I thought that it looks like the Arosa rink at Blackpool. It's fairly private in there so it could be a staged pic and she could be a decoy. DOI apparently employ decoys. If she does do it I'll support her if she gets Dan

As much as I love Fred there is no way I am voting Katona if he gets lumbered with her.

She lives in the North West I think so I would say that there is a fairly decent chance that Dan will get her as he usually gets the Northern based celebs. Poor Dan if that's the case.

Knowing Kerry and her management's style, I wouldn't put it past them to stage some photos of her skating and planting rumours of her doing the show, for no other purpose than to give her a few headlines. "Celebs" like her rely on regular news stories, regardless of how true, or even how flattering they are to keep them in the public eye, so they can then charge for family photo-shoots, or to "set the record straight".

I think it is possible she could be on the show, but I really hope not.

Wine Buff Jilly Goolden, Faye Tozer (Steps), Ex Rugby star Brian Moore, Rapper Vanilla Ice, and Iraq war Hero Johnson Beharry are the latest names being bandied about by a certain red top rag as potential "celebs"

Teensy snippet in the Metro (free paper) on Friday quoting Vanilla Ice saying he is looking forward to the puns about his name when he gets started on the show.

They are keeping a very successful tight lid on it.... its October in a few days !!! and dont the contestants and their partners meet up by November to start training. Coming very very close and no leaking of endless photos from icerinks of potential candidates.

I think it's usually when they start training with their pro partners in November that we tend to get pictures in the press etc. I hope that they have kept a few things under wraps & some more names emerge in the next couple of Months - the current list of rumoured celebs doesn't thrill me too much apart from Matt Cutler.

The list of "Celebs" rumoured to be taking part doesn't thrill me either, I do hope Matt Cutler takes part, although he is still involved with SCD - he choreographed the Group dance that was performed at the launch show!

I watched that 71 North thingie the other night and noticed Marcus Patrick (ex Hollyoaks) is in it. Didn't he do the Strictly Come Ice dancing thing years ago? I'm sure I saw him in it? Well anyway, if he is attempting to get back on the tv, I wouldn't be at all surprised if he showed up on the show next year, as DOI almost always has a Hollyoaks actor/actress, past or present somewhere! Just a thought . . .

Wish I knew for sure though, won't the tickets be going on sale soon? I'd kinda like to know who I am paying to see!

Yup, just checked, last year the tickets went on sale on 2nd November, with a pre sale on 26th October! Only about a month to go then! come on news . . . LEAK!!!

With rumours about some pros being replaced as well, I am a bit reluctant at the moment to buy tickets for the Tour until we know more.

The new pros if they are the ones I know then they are lovely.

I like Nina so I'm happy she is joining & nowt against any new pros (bit difficult to have anything against them when you don't know who they are) but I am just hoping my favourites are back, especially Fred & Mel, Alex & Luk and the 2 Matts.

Joe Absalom would be a good contestant, he has done Total wipeout and that Polar challenge programme on ITV, so he is clearly very fit and I am sure he would rise to the challenge!

Last week it was confirmed that Dancing on Ice would be moving from Elstree Studios, Herts to Shepperton Studios, Surrey for it’s sixth series, and that it will be going high definition for the first time. Now, the Shepperton website is teasing “format surprises” for the upcoming series.

“Two brand new ice rinks – a training rink and a studio rink – will be built at Shepperton. It will be the first time the show has filmed in HD,” it says.

“Torvill & Dean will once again train a cast of celebrity novices to become skating superstars, with a number of format surprises in what is seen as a complete refresh of the show.”

Dancing on Ice‘s Executive producer, Glenn Coomber commented: “It feels right that with the move to HD, and the changes we’re making to the show format, that Dancing on Ice has a brand new home for series six. Shepperton is a fantastic environment to work in and we’re looking forward to adding our own touch of sparkle to their legacy of Hollywood glamour!”

The next series of the show will air in January 2011.
