Is EE only getting 9 million in its regular slot these days? Someone's got to get the hint that people are turning off EE and it needs a change of producer.

EE's viewing figures are getting better? what on earth are you talking about? It dropped to 6 million in it's regular Tuesday slot.

The football messes with the ratings big time, thoses figues are overnight only, I expect quite a few people taped Corrie which will effect the final ratings by the end of the week.

I expect once the football is over and the schedules return to normal, Corrie will return to 10-12M.
To be honest, during Euro2004 they should have either given Corrie a break or just shown it on Saturday or Sunday as one episode, as the current abnormal length episodes shown at strange times don't seem to be doing the show much good. They should also avoid scheduling it against what is becoming a highly popular series of Big Brother (It got almost 5 million viewers last night). |

True but they have to show two episodes for there to be a repeat on Saturday. Next week I dont believe there are any episodes of Corrie.

There was a time not three weeks ago when Coronation Street was on three times on the Monday and two times on the Friday. The ratings will always be lower when your up against a strong series like Big Brother and the BBC's excellent Ten O'Clock News bulletin.
7 or 8 episodes in a week were purposely shown because there would be less during Euro 2004! There has been a lot of broadcasts of the show this past month, there is hardly ever any live football of this frequency on ITV and Corrie fans will just have to make do with what they get. |

I hope this thread didn't start to prove EE is better than Corrie. I didn't watch EE OR Corrie. I will be waiting for the omnibus addition of Corrie because I watched Big Brother instead. As for the omnibus of EE.....

Its true that Big Brother is increasing its viewers all the time. It is like a real-life soap opera this year. I dont think it is just Corrie that will suffer due to the changing schedules. Emmerdale and Eastenders are being shown at different times for the next few weeks too.

I expected a dip in the ratings during euro 2004 but after this it should get back to normal.
