Family Affairs: Cameron and Lewis to leave
GOSSIP: The Davenports Depart Taken from five
Cameron and Lewis say goodbye to Charnham He's a ladies' man, a fighter, former soldier and a broken-hearted lover. Rupert Hill (Cameron Davenport) is walking out of Stanley Street and into Coronation Street. Cameron has been through so much that Rupert felt it would be a good chance to move on. He's looking forward to joining the Coronation Street cast this month and will be the son in a family that has just been introduced. Like Rupert, Sam Stockman (aka Let's-Have-Another-Line Lewis), decided to leave Family Affairs to broaden his career horizons. This month, viewers will see Lewis's drug problem go from bad to worse with catastrophic results. He told us about his pending last day. "I feel good about the last day here at the studios." he said. "I'm not excited but I am ready to try something else." It's a time-honoured tradition that when a cast member departs a show there is a leaving party. Rupert and Sam's will be their first gig! They formed a band together earlier on in the year. They haven't settled on a name yet although it's rumoured to be Shepherds Pi. Sam says of his two years at Family Affairs, "It's been an amazing time, personally the best thing that has ever happened to me. I've changed so much. I never went to acting school, so technically I've learnt a lot. Rupert and I share a dressing room so that's where the music started for me. He taught me to play guitar and I've taught myself the bass." Rupert says, "I've learnt a lot about working from camera here in the studios, which I didn't know before, so that's been invaluable. It's been such a strict schedule working here over the last couple of years; it's made us so much more professional. We will both miss the people here very much." Aw, you guys. We'll miss you too. |
