But the bedsits worth will only last for a weak and then the game is over.

No, surely not? Why? Why not just give pronounce one of them winners, and we could watch something else this summer.

I disliked the bedsit idea from the start, giving immunity was never going to work. You only have to look back at BB4 to know that.

Unless the producers have another idea up their sleeves (which I doubt) the whole game is over and it will be 18 -30 holiday games until the end.

I'd watch Holiday Reps if that was the sort of tv I wanted to watch, I don't, so will switch off long before the end of BB5.

If BB is supposed to act like a reflecting Microcosm of society in general, then you *need* adults in the house to stop the children from tearing up the place. I can`t think of anything uglier than allowing the likes of Marco (Who wants to destroy their living environment!) or the Bell-End(Already ripped out the BB Diary Room seat) from being able to do what they feel like. It doesn`t make good BB...just Car-Crash telly.
I`ve enjoyed the antics & responses of the bedsitters this week. It was a good idea for one week in the 10 week run of the program. I don`t believe it`ll result in any distinct advantages for M & E in the long run though. The viewing public gets the final say after all.

I really do believe that the bedsit has given Michelle and Emma a great advantage, they will be in to the end, I know it is only a game but everybody should be playing on a level playing field, I have turned off now and will not be watching anymore BBs, I shall just read this forum occasionally and maybe the odd post. Really, really disappointed.

Yeah... and they will come up with something else next week.

My point is it is very hard to make Big Brother this exciting and enjoyable in the first couple of weeks.

Big Brother have outdone themselves this year.

This is the best BB EVER!

Yep bb have really out done themselves. Tis is the best ever, and it is going to get even more interesting. My husband is even asking what happened, and he has never done that before!!!!!!

I think the amnesty could go too far. OK they could not be nominated this week, cos most of the house think they have gone, but another week free of nomination might not necessarily get on the publics goat, but I can think of at least 3 people who will are almost guaranteed to nminate Michele and Emma ASAP, whereas if there was no amnesty, they could sneek under the radar and by the following week everything could have changed.

the bedsit is a bit like the africa trip but without actually taking the HM out of the BB house. when they return its going to bring something new to the BB experience, might suck might rule - but i think we'd better wait and see.

maybe the bedsit wasn't needed this year to keep BB entertaining but i'm sure it was added as insurance against another BB4 fiasco just incase the HMs didn't entertain.

Well good for you!

But I don't see why you think that anyone is concerned whether you are watching or not...

The bedsit has been amusing - bit like Rear Window crossed with Salo - but has come too early in the series. I think the idea of giving two people a rather unfair advantage over the others should've happened maybe in week five or six?

I can see your point there about leaving it till later, the problem is the amnesty, leaving the bedist to week 5 or 6 means the bedsitters could not be nominated till week 7 or 8 with only twop weeks left you are virtually guaranteeing at least one of the bedsit is in the final four, and if they put in a late HM that would mean that they both would almost certainly would have been in the final four.

Its impossible to judge how the show would have progressed (perhaps regressed?) if the bedsit didn't exist. I can only say that, inspite of the minor cockups, its been one of the most entertaining ideas yet. It might well have been a failure if it were not for the wit and supportive nature of Emma and Michelle's relationship - all without a drop of booze!

The faulty flag incident still cracks me up .. !!!

I personally wish Victor had guessed that they were in the bedsit and then casually dropped into conversation about how Emma had been trying it on with him and when he refused thats why she deliberately targeted him on the bog as revenge. He could make up loads of stuff and give her another panic attack.

Of course the bebsit is a stupid idea, the whole show has been stupid since they did that rich and poor nonsense. The original Dutch show, that I saw some of, was supposed to be just people living in a house with cameras 24/7 on the net for free. The marketing suits came in and have been squeezing as much money as they can out of it and its dried out. Censored streaming you have to pay for (as if), the shows original purpose has been lost, they're trying to reinvent, but the flogged horse is long since dead.

I think reality-tv is dead to be honest. You can tell by the way the voting public are voting to try and ruin the show. Cameron winning BB4. Fat and ugly Michelle won pop idol, where looks are ALL that matters in that game. Kerry won jungle for her drunk stupidty and now people hope Emma will win this. People have had enough, it only lives on as there is a vacuum with no replacement. Pull-TV (where you watch what 'you decide', when 'you decide') will be the next big thing. Once that arrives that will be the end of reality tv.

An EX BB-fan (even attended an eviction), with time on their hands...

I beleive that once was enough with the original format.

They had to reinvent the show otherwise it would be very boring indeed.

The besit idea could also affect the next years big brother and further as now they are not sure when people are evicted they are gone for god so no one will be playing a game and bb4 could happen again. In the short term the bedsit is a good idea but in the long term its affects could be bad for this year and the next few years. i feel bb need to do something this year to level the playing field. i personally would have on friday van or dan evicted and then half an hour later have one off emma and michelle up for eviction and give the remaining hm's one minute to decide who goes.

now that would stir things up.
