Using Sony Reader in UK when purchased in US
My question relates to the PRS300, but I suspect may apply to gadgets in general - I'm hoping some bright spark can answer this.
I'm hoping a relative of mine in the States could save me £30+ by getting me the Reader and bringing over. Question is - will I be able to charge it in the UK, or will I need some sort of current converter to avoid blowing it up? Thanks. |

You can charge it via USB from the computer. The original Sony charger for ebook readers (it's written AC-S5220E on mine) works with 100-240V so it should work OK in UK, you'll need a UK cable though. The charger is not included with the reader, it must be purchased separately. Also the usual chargers with USB cable won't work with the reader, I tried. The reader must be really connected to a computer.BTW I have PRS-300, too, good choice
