Using Sony Reader in UK when purchased in US

My question relates to the PRS300, but I suspect may apply to gadgets in general - I'm hoping some bright spark can answer this.

I'm hoping a relative of mine in the States could save me £30+ by getting me the Reader and bringing over. Question is - will I be able to charge it in the UK, or will I need some sort of current converter to avoid blowing it up?

Thanks.

You can charge it via USB from the computer. The original Sony charger for ebook readers (it's written AC-S5220E on mine) works with 100-240V so it should work OK in UK, you'll need a UK cable though. The charger is not included with the reader, it must be purchased separately. Also the usual chargers with USB cable won't work with the reader, I tried. The reader must be really connected to a computer.BTW I have PRS-300, too, good choice
