T39 phone unlock code

Hello all
I bought a T39 from a guy on ebay. The phone came boxed with all the accessories and he's got loads of good feedback so I'm guessing he's not dodgy but I'm having a problem.

After i put in my sim card pin code I'm asked to input the phone lock code. Its been changed from the default of 0000 and I think I've only got one chance to put the correct code in left.

The guy isn't answering my emails asking what he's changed the code to.
What can I do?

Is there a way of doing it without the code i.e. internet sites or maybe someone down the market. I live in Leeds if anyone knows anywhere.

You will have to take it to a Sony Ericsson sevice center. You will also need to prove you are the legitimate owner of the phone.

You could also use the user feedback on Ebay to warn other uers about this guy.

I think if you have the phone reflashed then it will be fine.
