if it's true, i'm glad for her cause maybe live nation will promote her better than what they've done for her 'bionic' era. Her voice is one of the greatest and she deserves to have more fame and success than other females in the charts who rely on their beauty rather than their talent.

I knew this would happen. It's obvious she is not happy with the record due to their meddling in her latest album.

Interesting.

They're obviously pro's at selling an artist, so I think Christina will benefit hugely from people who know how to promote efficiently.

She has the talent, the vision and generally speaking she has the material, so all that was remaining was a proper marketing strategy.

I doubt they dropped her. It would take more than a poor performing album to drop someone on Christina's level, she's a dishevelled feather in their cap, but a feather nonetheless.

Although, it probably made them less inclined to fight for her if she threatened to leave for Live Nation.

What is Live Nation?
Heard of them a few times and isn't Madonna linked to them when she does her tour or whatever

To be fair she hasnt had a big seller since stripped.

Back to basics had mediocre sales and her greatest hits flopped.

Even if they didnt drop her, I very much doubt they're devastated shes leaving.

It sounds like Live Nation would allow more creative control over an acts own work because although they sign people, they sign them as if that person is their own label and mainly acts as their promoter (I am paraphrasing the Wikipedia article here!) so it sounds like a good move if it's true.

This was always Happening.

Christina had an album and vision.

RCA said "no. You must edit this album".

Christina edited it and then made the decision she was done with the label.

I suppose I am yes. I do won Stripped and Back to Basics, but since then her output and behaviour has been so appalling that I find her abhorrent.

How is HER behaviour bad? Or do you mean the record label.

Christina doesn't just go out by herself and perform songs on shows..it's contracted...if she's 'flopped' as it were, it's not her personal fault.

Her behaviour is quite bad. She doesn't appear humble at all and is a bit stuck up.

And this isn't really a surprise. Back to Basics was a big disappointment after the fantastic era that was Stripped, so this album was dubbed as her big comeback. I'm sure RCA aren't too worried that she's gone, and I'm sure she's glad that she is gone, because RCA have ****ed up big time with her.

She is rather cocky, i am not gonna lie
She does constantly bang on about "domestic abuse" from her past and it's like ok we get it. You don't hear Mary J Blige telling us when she was sexually abused all the time.

Back To Basics was still a success though, despite the step down from Stripped. It spawned a popular tour and several hit singles.

The Greatest Hits was pointless and clearly wasn't Christina's idea. To be fair though, despite it being crap, the single Keeps Getting Better was a top 10 hit.

Bionic is the first time she's properly fallen from grace, and even then it's not a catastrophic fail.

She's nowhere near as successful as she could, and should, be, but she's still held in high regard despite that because of her voice. She's still a huge pop star, which is why her label wouldn't be willing to throw her away that easily.
