This morning I looked at a bra calculator whereby you put your measurements in and it gives you your bra size, this came out at a 38B, I then measured the manual way which came out at 34DD. I went to a Rigby and Peller store today where they don't measure you just estimate your size and they said I was a 32F.

How do you measure your size, I'm soo confused?

Long winded way to tell us that you are a 32F, but congratulations on that.

I just take a sneaky peak at the labels on the ones she wears most often.

I have decided they're all wrong, i've been measured at loads of places but the bra's have never felt comfortable. Recently I went out shopping "on a mission" & just tried loads & loads of bra's on....I ended up with 2 really really comfortable ones.....but both different sizes....I reckon it depends on the make

Erm no, I am trying to say I don't know what size I am as I have got 3 different answers. I gave up in the end because I thought she was trying to sell me the wrong size.

Post some pics, then we can all have a guess. The closest wins a prize.

I'm the same size as you OP and recommend Rigby and Peller for undies and also www.bravissimo.com but would advise going to them for a fitting as they may give you a different size. Like R & P they are more instinctive.

Both shops cater much better for boobilious ladies like us than M & S or La Senza in my opinion as they make gorgeous well supportive bras with curves in mind. I got myself sorted out at both (R&P for best wear and Bravissimo for everyday) and it makes a massive difference.

I went to la senza who said i was a c cup. Bra was uncomfortable so never bought it.

Went to bravissimo who told me what they thought i was by looking and the bra fitted perfectly.

I really recommend them.

I had to laugh at my friend who's about the same size as me, an average 34b. She got measured at Bravisimo and they told her she was a 26DD rather conveinently Bravisimo is the only high street store to stock 26DD bra's so ofcourse thats where she has to buy all her bra's from now on. Clever marketing!

Thank you Shadow? Is your back size 32 though, when I measure with a tapemeasure it is 33 and some places tell you to add on 5 inches?

38 is the ribcage (or 32 in our case) and F refers to a pre-determinded distance between the rib cage to the widest part of the boob. So A is tiny, C is noticeable and F is a nice handful and so on.

M&S are notorious for measuring wrongly. My daughter was wearing 38D on their recommendation, but always felt unsupported and had grooves forming accross her shoulders.

I took her to a small independant shop and it turns out she is actually a 34G. For the first time as an adult she is wearing the correct size and is comfortable.

How M&S could be wrong by 4 inches and several cup sizes is rather baffling.

I do agree that Bravissimo ones are a cut above the others

Not speaking at as a bra-wearer but as a bra-researcher

I didn't realise at Rigby and Peller that they just estimate, even though they are professionals I can't see how they can be completely accurate

Did you try any bras on in there emnat?

I have never been measured professionally only do it myself which isn't really best I guess
