I went to la senza who said i was a c cup. Bra was uncomfortable so never bought it.
Went to bravissimo who told me what they thought i was by looking and the bra fitted perfectly. I really recommend them.

This morning I looked at a bra calculator whereby you put your measurements in and it gives you your bra size, this came out at a 38B, I then measured the manual way which came out at 34DD. I went to a Rigby and Peller store today where they don't measure you just estimate your size and they said I was a 32F.
How do you measure your size, I'm soo confused? ![]() 1) you put in your measurments - to come out with 38 you must have put in 38 - presumably after measuring yourself.(this bit is whatever it is, only the cup size changes). 2) You measured the manual way - so how did you get 34 when the time before you got 38? How dd you work out the cup size?: 3) A woman glanced at you and proclaimed you a 32F. I'd be inclined to say the first one is correct, as the measurement you put in for the cup size will probably change from a B to a DD if you only reduce the first measurement from 38 to 34 but leave the cup size measurement the same. |

If I remember correctly you measure immediately under your bust to get the inch size and then over the bust to get cup size +5 inches is B, + 6 is C, +4 is A etc. but saying that I find a 34D fits me exactly like a 36C....so who knows

I didn't realise at Rigby and Peller that they just estimate, even though they are professionals I can't see how they can be completely accurate
Did you try any bras on in there emnat? I have never been measured professionally only do it myself which isn't really best I guess |

Rather than accusing people of sarcasm lets break down your post.

M&S are notorious for measuring wrongly. My daughter was wearing 38D on their recommendation, but always felt unsupported and had grooves forming accross her shoulders.
I took her to a small independant shop and it turns out she is actually a 34G. For the first time as an adult she is wearing the correct size and is comfortable. How M&S could be wrong by 4 inches and several cup sizes is rather baffling.

They look at what bra you are wearing and ask you the size, she then pulled the strap at the back which she must of thought was too loose. I did try a couple on and bought one.
It is difficult to find comfortable ones though |

Under bust was 33, across fullest part of bust is 39. Please give me your expert opinion?
How very odd Edit - I've just checked several online sizing things and 38B seems to be the right one. |

Well they were spot on with me. Mine fit perfectly.
![]() ![]() I have been measured by 3 different assistants ... all different sizes. When you have mahoosive ones it's more important to get the right support or they end up round your belly button

Please no-one take offence at this, it's a phrase I picked up from a comic novel waaaay back.
"He took her left breast in his hand. It was weighty and satisfying, like a grapefuit on a piece of elastic..." Makes me chuckle... |

I think a lot of the confusion is in if extra inches should be added to the back measurement or not
If they are added (which I believe is the old fashioned way ) it comes up for me as a B. Using a calculator which doesn't add it on I get E ![]() To the OP I am not an expert but your measurements are not far from mine and I would hazard a guess you are bigger than a B which has been suggested
