Panasonic 32PB50
Hi Im looking for more details on this TV and opinions from people...
Is it meant to replace the PG50... ? What features does it have that the PG50 doesnt.. or does it lose anything.? Any reviews of this set or opinions from owners ? |

Yes, it is getting reasonable reviews, it does lose a few things though e.g. only 1 scart is RGB instead the 2 on the PG50/30. Some of the picture issues that the PG50 had are supposed to have been sorted but the sound isn't that brilliant so get the nicam version if you can & add a seperate surround amp.
Also don't rush into your purchase like I did and get stuck with something your'e not entirely happy with, wait a while to see what probs if any it has. Mandlebrot P.S. I went through 5 PG50's before changing to the PG30 and still have some issues with the picture, only minor though. |

Thanks Mandlebrot,
The picture issue was bothering me.. I hope its sorted. Also I hope no more features are dropped cos the PG50 is like Sonys FQ75 in features... (but the FQ75 is shit so stay away!) which I had and returned. Do u know what exactly the issues are with the picture that the PG50 was supposed to have... and when did this PB50 come out? |

Having installed a couple PG30's ... I'd recommend them.
I wouldnt bother with the PG50 unless you really need the extra features. RGB on 1scart is a minor inconvenience, but common. It's a good picture and sound, but with the usual 100Hz sort of picture. Good but can look a bit vibrant. |

Anyway.... Me think it's great!. Auto wide screen switching we very well. Picture quality great as long as you turn PN-R and AI off. This is on ntl: cable. Dunno about any other digital providers. I havn't noticed any humming especially as the wires are in a total mess at the back. I'm not sure what to mean by geometry. By you can alter the picture shape to make the picture seem like it pointing towards you if you're watching the TV from an angle. |
