She's great- I love New Romantic! Her voice sounds so lovely on that.

Yeah I rate her highly, have done since just before her first album came out. Zane Lowe on Radio 1 was playing some of her stuff way back then. Great singer-song writer with a beautiful voice.

Great first album and the early EPs are fantastic. Couldn't get into the second album though

Lets be honest here, 'The First Days Of Spring' pisses all over her work and imho she will always be the woman who influenced a great record rather than made one

She's so young, yet so mature and assured in her music. I mean I can't class myself as a fan because I'm not into her sort of music, but I have a lot of respect for her

I can't really get into Noah And The Whale... much prefer Laura Marling. I also like her second album better than the first. kind of reminds me of Joanna Newsom mixed with PJ Harvey who are two of my favourite female artists so that can't be bad.

I agree. I liked Noah and the Whales first album but I thought the second was a bit depressing. Like a couple songs from it but the rest didn't leave much of an impression.

Love both albums by Laura Marling though. Amazing talent.

Great artist, very hard to believe she's just 20.

I guess its down to different tastes, for me 'First Days of Spring' was a classic in melancholy that just washed over me like drinking Pimms on a hot summers day. So sad but so elegantly written. Laura Marling's second record was just dull, I found that lack of hooks and interesting lyrics just annoyed me, sorry.

I only got 'The First Days of Spring' quite recently on a friend's recommendation and still can't believe it's the same band that wrote '5 Years Time', talk about growing up musically. Sounds like a completely different band but all the better for it, one of the most amazing albums I've listened to for ages. "Blue Skies" I could listen to all day.

I really like Laura Marling too, but agree her second album was a bit disappointing personally. 'Failure' is still by far my fave song of hers.

She's fantastic, deserves far more recognition than the likes of Lily Allen
