Losing artwork from iPod

So basically I'm an idiot. I use Sharepod to copy files off my iPod but an update on iTunes meant Sharepod couldn't access files on the iPod any longer - except if you deleted the Artwork DB file off your iPod each time you connected which then worked fine.

Unfortunately, in a mad rush I accidentally deleted the entire Artwork folder from my iPod, losing about 2.3GB worth! Now none of my tracks have any artwork to go with them - even though they still appear when I browse tracks on my iPod through iTunes.

What I want to know is - is there any way of restoring the artwork?

In itunes, press ctrl+a (to select all) and then right click in a white space and click on "download album artwork", you need a itunes account for this. And it'll get the album art for them all. This is all done in grid view.

I think he's got all the artwork on iTunes, it's just not syncing across to the iPod, probably because the filesystem has been 'broken' by the accidental deletion of the artwork folder.

I don't know sharepod, but if it lets you create a new, empty artwork folder on the iPod, do just that, and perhaps iTunes will see the empty folder and try to sync it.

I've just found a way to fix it - by selecting each track in my library it syncs the artwork with it to my iPod.

It's going to take a while though, I have about 9800 tracks!
