For keeping up as well as they did through what has been an incredible 24 hours. From putting on those special updates during the night to ( in the main ) keeping the site alive during today when it seems like everyone on the planet with an internet connection has descended on the site. You've been more of a source of info than the official site has been today thats for sure.

Nor could I. I figured once the footie started there would be a chance of getting on.

Agree with the first poster though. This was definitely the best place to get all the info. Shame everyone else found out about it too and clogged the site.

Feel free to buy the DS team a new £4000 server to handle all the people using the Free ('Bloody') Forum. THEN you can moan.

ALthough i wasnt able to get on for ages and the site is still acting up, i agree they did the best anyone could have expected from them given the somewhat unexpected events of last night!

My congratulations too!! How you managed to keep the commentary going, cope with the landslide of emails coming your way, keep the site functioning was brill-yant. And for the 'volunteer' live updaters who just went on giving their time .... amazing!!! Hope you're organising a party for yourselves (but keep it a virtual party - they're safer!!

Brilliant work, people! I am sure most of us fully understand why it's been difficult to access the forums some times but the site is fantastic.

I agree. I couldn't connect to the stream overnight, or to Channel 4 site, or even to here for a while. But in the morning I logged on to here and was able to catch up with everything thanks to people working throughout the night on the updates. So many thanks (-:

As one of the thousands of people who dragged myself out of bed and switched on my pc at 2am this morning when the live streaming went down, all I can say is thanks to all involved here for making sense of an impossible news starved situation.

I was enthralled with the reporting from 8.30 CET today until I got booted @ 11.30. Before then my replies were returned as server busy.

even now I am in through a back door & can not choose the threads I see, but I know that will improve.
