Tried starting Breaking Bad at the weekend, only 3 episodes in but I'm not really getting the hype so far (possibly the only person ever!?). Might leave it for now and go with 24 from the beginning.
I felt completely the same with Breaking Bad. I watched the first season expecting to be drawn in and it just didn't happen. Should I force myself to watch the second season or resign myself to the fact it isn't for me?

I know, such a tough dilemma eh?

Finally got around to starting 24. As with Rehab and Letsby above I just wasn't getting into Breaking Bad. Will leave it and come back later in the year.

We're rewatching The West Wing, this time with our teenage boys, one of whom is studying politics. We've just started series two and it is such a joy. I'm glad it's been a few years since I saw it because I'd forgotten all the jokes and lots of plot details. If there's anyone left on the planet who hasn't yet seen it, I can't recommend it enough. And if you have seen it but haven't watched it in a while, the same applies!

My favourite show ever! I think I was 12 when it first came on television and although I probably didn't understand anything that was going on it sparked my love of politics which I eventually did an A-Level in (though I always found American politics much more interesting than British politics). My family generally rewatch the whole series every year though we've given it a bit more a break this time so that we enjoy it even more on our next viewing. Whats your favourite series/episdoe/character etc?

I'm rewatching Battlestar Galactica (the 2003-2009 series, not the old one) and it's just as incredible as ever. Seasons 1 and 2 I haven't seen for a loooong time and I'm loving them. Just watched the episode 'The Farm' from season 2.

To be honest like most shows the first season sets the premise up and then from season 2 things get going. not to spoil things but "Tragedy" is the consensus word i would use to describe the characters world.

I was looking through On Demand and found "Scandal". I'm only on episode three of season one at the moment but it's good.

After hearing the theme tune last night on the build up to the Super Bowl, I need to find out if there is a complete box set of Hill Street Blues. Man that was good! And if memory serves me right, the first crime series of that ilk?
I used to love it. "Let's be careful out there"...!!

I started watching 24 from the beginning approx 2 weeks ago last Thursday.

I am now on hour 13 of series 3.

Why I didn't watch this programme before I'll never know - it's amazing!!

Game of Thrones season one, again. Followed by season two, ready for season three's release in a week or so, then ready for season four when it airs.

Thanks gamersxchange - you've convinced me to give it another go. All of my friends like it and think its crazy that i'm not more into it.

In keeping with the thread; i'm currently watching Scandal - its safe to say I'm addicted. You can never go wrong with Shonda Rhimes.

We started watching BB on Netflix at Christmas because of the hype. I was a bit 'meh' at first and wasn't exactly itching to watch another episode. I think I put myself under too much pressure to like it!!!

But I carried on and last night watched the last ever episode!!! Thats how much it got under my skin without me realising. 5 seasons in 5 weeks!

I loved Dexter but wasn't too impressed with the ending.

We only went onto Netflix at Christmas so I've not watched much. Well not much apart from the entire 5 seasons of Breaking Bad in 5 weeks! Definitely worth a try.

Oh and Lillyhammer with Silvio from Sopranos. If you've watched Sopranos then you'll probably enjoy it.

Currently up to season 3 of Breaking Bad. Slow start for me but now thoroughly enjoying it. Waiting to hear more about the Prequel they keeping talking about - It's All About Saul (or something along those lines).

At the same time I'm watching Boston Legal and then when I'm finished these I've got Friday Night Lights and Sherlock.

Too many things to watch - not enough hours in the day.

yeah, we just watched it all back to back, finished 2 days ago.

Was good most of the way through, the final season was WAY below par though, as for the finale, a total F.U. to all the fans

Glad i watched it all though, hope we get some sort of sequel, even though some things they did wrong in the finale cant be fixed now.

I've done Breaking Bad and that was just the best series I have seen in a long, long time.

I much prefer to watch like this when something has ended and you don't have to wait every week for a new episode.

I'm currently looking at watching

24
Fringe
The 4400
Warehouse 13
Justified
Sons of Anarchy
Californication

Any of these any good ??

24 and Fringe are very highly regarded. Personally, I love Warehouse 13 and wasn't overly keen on 4400.

I don't know much about the others.
