Sleeper

Heard these again for the first time in a while last night and wondered if there were any other fans in here, either now, or from back in the day.

Sleeper were an indie-pop band from the, and one of the bands of the mid 90's

Their 1996 album The IT Girl remains one of my favourite up until this day. It was just full of great catchy songs.

Apparently, lead singer Louise Wener is now an established author.

She had the sexiest eyes on the planet. A total babe.

Yeah decent band, I remember "what do I do now" as being one of my favourite songs from that period. It was an exception to my usual rule of despising all things "britpop" at the time, which shows how good a song it is!

I keep meaning to check out one of Louise Wener's books as I'd heard about her being a novelist for some time now, and some of her lyrics were great.

(I'd agree she was also rather nice to look at as well. She probably still is, to be fair. )

I've got the it girl CD. They were pretty cool in their day. I'd heard that Louise Wener was an author but i've never read any of her books.

I really liked
