Iraq,Zimbabwe.Now THAT'S scary!BB5's got nothing on THAT!

I just can't believe what's going on here in these threads. Anyone living in Iraq,Zimbabwe etc would find this incredible.Talk about making a mountain out of a molehill. We sit here NOT dodging bullets,NOT fearing the knock at the door,NOT seeing things we hold dear being destroyed.

Ok this forum IS a place for opinions but aren't people going a little over the top?Who's actually been assaulted, maimed or killed here? Assaulted by words, gestures perhaps.Endemol,on the whole, were being praised for this years BB5.Now some overspilling of human emotions[not blood] and suddenly its all so terrible and the end is near and lawsuits..... Stuff and nonsense.

I'm very relieved that I don't live in a country at war, that I don't have to serve in dangerous places.I'd be damned scared.Nor am I dying from poverty or disease.I'm so lucky.

I actually wanted the Woodstock, the peace of that 2nd afternoon, the flowers Stu and the girls wore. But that's just me.Mr and Mrs Average want more spice and strife.Fair enough,it's how the show must be.And we sure got it.Now its complaints, judgements, unbalanced arguments/opinions when a few things trigger off.

How people here and in the media can single out the likes of Victor and Jason as if they are mass murderers or war criminals defies belief.Great they may not be but I don't see Emma,Nadia,Marco being alot better.

Basically, most of us,don't KNOW what real drama is as we live in these sheltered isles of these. So we make a very HUMAN situation into the holocaust or armegeddin.

And some of those poor people so outraged by last nights events will be at the eviction conducting the Vanessa witch hunt[i hope she walks]or watching some pretty ugly stuff on other TV channels.Or maybe engaged in insulting other forum members.Who knows.

Victor IS alot of hot air,Jason DOES control himself if not his words,Vanessa IS vain,Marco likes to goad,Emma has temper-control issues etc........

I don't under-play what happened last night but a crisis?
I don't think so. And you won't meet a more peace-loving hippy than me.I can assure you.But we are also HUMAN.

sticks and stones will break my bones AND names will also hurt me.

Well said Zen. Puts the situation in a proper perspective.

Respect to ya.

well yes, being confronted by a drunken thug (no HM in mind, just an abstract example) may seen small beer (ahem) compared to iraq but its still scary to the individual at the time.

Must disagree. This forum is specifically for the discussion of the events happening in the small world of Big Brother. There are plenty of other places that you can express your views on more dramatic and important world events. I know this because I've used them.

Just because someone chooses to divert themselves by seeking entertainment in reality TV doesn't automatically make them small-minded.

Exactly, thats probably why Victor and Jason reacted in the way that they did.

I respect small beers and the fear of the individual in his particular environment but I just cant see what happened last night as bad as your drunken thug or a mugging or many other horrors one can face.

I just can't see why this melodrama and backlash.

Yeah, and in the scale of the Universe, Iraq and Zimbabwe are completely insignificant.
So what was your point?

Exactly, perspective. So why make such a big fuss over the minor triviality that is Iraq/Zimbabwe?
