What do you think will be going on in the world of music next year. Who all can we expect new releases from?

I'm gonna say Beyonce and GaGa definitely. Possibly new material from Jay-Z and 50 Cent. Hopefully a new Florence album. Any other Ideads

Well there's definately a new Gaga album. I expect we'll have a new Britney album by then (could be this year hopefully!)

Maybe Amy Winehouse and hopefully a new Florence album.

I think we're gonna get more from Adele, White Lies, Florence & The Machine and maybe Paul Weller.

I can see a couple of bands breaking through- at the moment I am guessing something like Young Empires.

Paul McCartney will probably release another solo thing too?

We might get some more Pete Doherty & Amy Winehouse stuff if they can put down the needle/ bottle long enough to record anything.

i would like La Roux, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Mariah Carey, Justin Timberlake(?), James Morrison, Chris Brown and The Killers to release albums next year.

Agree with both of those. I think The Strokes are probably more likely than the Libertines.

At least in terms of the Strokes we have Albert and Julian's respective solo work to keep us going in the mean time.

The Strokes are definitely releasing. I think it's January? That's what Julian said in an interview with Q magazine. And I'm doubtful of The Libertines do anything, but I'm looking forward to Carl's solo stuff nonetheless. And maybe a bit of Babyshambles?

There's supposedly a new Rihanna album later this year, if not then probably early new year.

GaGa's definitely getting one out there in the early new year.

What really might help radio stations start taking notice of Rachel furner is if she and Pixie release a duet!

I agree with the above. Look out for a young lady called Rachel Furner. Also agree that Pixie will have a strong second album.

A new Killers album would be amazing and i think we'll get one!

I hope rihanna and lady gaga's albums are worth the wait. I thought justin would've released music this year since he took a 4 year gap between his first and second, but i guess i can always hope for one next year.

This is all just my own speculation/hopes.

There was rumours of a new Bjork project, but she recently said it could be next year or even 2012

CSS are writing new stuff so I hope to hear a new album form them.

Bat for Lashes has been away for a while now. I don't know what she's doing, but her last album was released well over a year ago now, so fingers crossed for something new from her in 2011. She done a song with Beck and she's interested in working with him more

Yeah Yeah Yeahs have been pretty quiet recently so hopefully they're writing and recording.

Ladyhawke is definitely writing new stuff now so that'll probably surface in 2011.

All pre speculation, but I think all of the above will have something by 2012 at the latest. They better!

I don't think we will. And if we do it wouldn't be until late November/December. I think your looking at a 2012 release from them. They haven't set a date to get back in the studio, and while Brandon will always be writing, it's just a matter of getting the others in the studio. That said, they totally deserve their break.

I think U2 will drop another stinkbomb next year though.

I have been waiting for new stuff off of her for AGES and she just seems to have completely disappeared! Loved her debut!
