Currently playing 100-song compilation of the great man, my fave soul singer with Sam second, both died young but Otis wasnt to blame for his death IMO. My standout tracks are Ive Been Loving You Too Long or Dock Of The Bay

Not keen myself, personally think he butchered "My Girl" but he had a great voice so big respect for him.

It's the other way round for me. Sam Cooke is my all time favourite Soul singer with Otis Redding second.

I agree that "I've Been Loving You Too Long" is a standout track, but I think I've heard "Dock of the Bay" a few too many times and am a bit fed up with it.

I also love "I Can't Turn You Loose" and "Tramp" (his duet with Carla Thomas), but I think that my all time favourite Otis track is this one:-
