When she does proper presenting you can sometimes tell shes having trouble reading the autocue. Her first day on Hells Kitchen was a disaster because of it.

I've seen him several times in cabaret shows with Camilla and he's an absolute natural with the mic. He's good at working the audience, very confident and chatty and has lots of funny little stories to relate. Quite witty at ad-libbing occasionally too! I was surprised the first time at how entertaining a character he is.

However, I think there are a few other contenders ahead of him, some of them ex-contestants like Chris, Aled Jones, or even Zoe Ball, and they are all existing employees of the BBC (I think) with presenting experience.

I really like Claudia though, pity she's not doing it.

Actually, Ian and Tess would look good together too. Hmmm...”

Yup, I really liked Aled and would love to see him co-presenting SCD. He, Chris and Zoe are all experienced presenters, which would make any of them excellent choices.

That isn't enough to rule him out - Tess could quite easily do the link into the pro dance and the link afterwards, wouldn't be a lot to ask, and Ian could help with the rest of the show!

I like her aswell.

I agree with this, Ronnie was awful and Bruce is ALWAYS awful!

Not a fan? I didn't used to be, well not overly anyway but since watching him present all the Andrew Lloyd-Webber programmes i think he's hilarious, very quick and witty, i think he'd be perfect to replace Bruce. Doubt it'll ever happen though as he seems very busy. I dread to think who they have planned for the job

Can I make a suggestion? Try reading the quotes in the style of Claudia and it's soon apparent that she's said this in her usual tongue-in-cheek, self-deprecating manner.

"Will my eye pop out and roll away?" It's so her!

I rather think there will be more than one Pro Dance in the Results Show otherwise what's the point of having a Dance Troupe. And it's not very practical to expect someone to do both on a "live" television show.

There's actually no reason why Tess couldn't do the Results Show on her own as presumably there won't be a Tess Pit for the Results Show.

We shall all just have to wait and see!

Actually I don't mind Graham Norton, and agree he was good on the ALW shows. His own show is a hoot! I just felt perhaps I'd like to see someone else, that's all. We've had a LOT of GN exposure. But then as I said, I'd rather have him than some bizarre choice which is not out of the question knowing the beeb.

"live" TV show. I hope there will be more than one pro dance too. And it's a good point about Tess, the results probably wouldn't take more than just her to present, they could save themselves some money there (pay Brucie pro-rata, ha! ). Although they like to put presenters in pairs for these things don't they? Perhaps Steve Jones will be drafted in to help. Didn't he do Let's Dance for Comic Relief with Claudia? I think I like the idea of Aled or Zoe Ball as well. And they can both dance a bit. No disrespect to Chris H, but he's still more of a sports presenter.

NONE of them are BBC Employees - they are all independent contractors, who are only contracted for the work that they do at any given time.

So its unwise to ASSUME a Beeb connection for whoever hosts it - although I'm hoping that Claudia does (in the absence of any announcement)

He managed perfectly well on the pro tour, and that was actually live! It'd still be only a couple of links he'd potentially have to sit out, in what is presumably going to be least a half-hour long programme. And he wouldn't dance to the music act every week I'm sure, that's always shared between the pros so we get the likes of James & Ola's rumba once a series.

And why would there not be a Tess Pit - are they not going to interview the contestants at all in the results show? Tess used to sit back there with the contestants during the pro dances and interview them afterwards, so who's to say that won't happen again?

I really agree with this. Im no Tess Daly fan, but the Tess/Claudia episode last year was far more sharp and better presented than any with Bruce last year. (No offence to Bruce )

I think James Jordan could be a good option.

James wont be able to do the results show he has a celeb for the next series.

Personally I would rather see Gethin than Aled or Zoe and definately not Steve Jones.

If he's knocked out of the competition then I have no objection to him presenting the remaining weeks' results shows, great idea As long as he would also still get to dance with Ola though!!

Steve Jones was interviewed on Chris Tarrant's Radio 2 show a couple of weeks ago and said he was asked to present the US version of "101 Ways..." but couldn't because he had 'something' coming up in the next few weeks. It crossed my mind then he might mean Strictly as he seems to have moved over to the BBC and worked on the Comic Relief dance prog.

There again, could he be a contestant?

He was rumpured as a contestant last year - and as the sporstmen seem to be known - and thus knocking John Parrott out of the equation it could mean that Steve Jones is a celeb - he is a tall guy - about 6ft 2

Frank Bruno will almost cetainly be with Natalie - so what about Steve Jones and Katya

That would suit me fine I had precious little to cheer about last year and it would go a long way towards making up for the changes I'm not wild about this year

Who's hosting the results show? Ronnie Corbett, Dale Winton, Paul O'grady or Julian Clary should? It be too much if Graham Norton does as he hosts other things.

It could open up speculations too whom may take over from Brucie.

At least she's still doing ITT ! That's the main thing.

I guess the thing to think of is that the results will be filmed on the Saturday and it will need to be someone that has followed the main show and previous shows in order to keep the momentum going and someone who compliments Brucie (and could also stand in for the main show if necessary).

Still like the idea of Claudia TBH!!

Claudia is, apparently, having her eye op this week. Hopefully she will be fully restored to us by the time Strictly starts, and doing the results show as well as ITT

JUst bumping this cos we went to the recording of Hot Gossip (Radio 2) yesterday - we sat near the front, so could see Claudia really well. She's lovely - really pretty. She was more than capable of running the panel, even though one of them (American gay bloke - can't remember his name and Mr. Cake has gone to bed so can't ask him) - anyway ... the American bloke was incredibly un p.c. and it'll be interesting to hear how much of what he said is edited out when the show is on radio tomorrow.

She did look a bit tired tho - so hope the op's a success and her eyesight is back to normal soon.

(Mr. Cake was disappointed she wasn't wearing her trademark syscraper heels "with heels like those bits off chandeliers" as he said. Think that may have been the only reason he went, actually ... )
