There is nobody to press charges against anyone IMO - the stuff that could be seen as causing harm to public (ie:- racial hatrid, if any existed) was not broadcast. The BB House is a private place, it's just like a domestic distrurbance.

Hiya,
I don't think the police will press any charges....Who would they press them against, almost all of the were involved and the was no GBH was there?
If they were gonna press charges against anyone it would be Victor who threw the tray at Emmas head or Jay who thew the table at Nadia, wow they really did get a tad violent didn't they

Of course they won't. We don't even know if there were any punches thrown, and even if there were there is (sadly) far worse violence happening in every city centre on every Friday night.

The Police can press charges if they see fit, without any of the housemates pressing charges themselves.

In this case though I doubt they will, nobody (thankfully) was physically harmed so I'd imagine the Police would treat it like any other drunken party rabble i.e stop wasting our time.

TBH I doubt they'd even have got involved if it wasn't for all the public response, BB had it under control with their own security.

The police will watch the footage - which wput them a few paces ahead of you Helliebellie.

The police were contacted by members of the public and they duly attended. The Police PR man has then got himself on TV as usual. The evidence will be reviewed and in the extremely unlikely event of action being taken then it will be nothing beyond a caution.

If they do nothing and Victor or Emma then hits someone there will be a new chief constable of Hertfordshire as well as new faces at C4.. At least they need to cover their backs by recommending that some people are not in proximity to others?

Maxine Carr's mother seems to be being tried for threatening someone with death which sorta raises the issue of what happens if 3 BB HM do it with feeling.

Personally, I don't think the police hold the requisite superiority to omnipotently oversee and pass required judgement over the situation as such... They may need to call in the pyschologists!

It would be the CPS to enforce the charges further in any case.

They won't press charges. I could be wrong of course - I hope not!

It's generally termed as 'moral panic' which has it's disseminating roots in 60s culture!

Common assault would usually result in just a caution. Seeing as it looks as if there was NO assault, I think Herts Constabulary are prolly just enjoying reviewing the footage... and that is it...

I have posted in another thread on this. The police could bring affray charges but it would not seem to be in the public interest to do so in this case and I cannot imagine they will take it further.

They have done their duty and responded to the calls made to them and investigated. I was a bit concerned about the "threats to kill" but I think on this occasion matters will be allowed to drop after some advice to Endemol on their position.

Maxine Carr's mother made the threats against a witness in the Soham trial which made the offence more serious.

I thought Flunkett was keen on zero tolerance and was a bit occupied with hooliganism? You wouldn't be surprised if someone took a political interest quite soon - bad example etc..

The difference in this situation is that the police can't separate the parties and keep them apart. Wouldn't the boys in blue really cop it (awful pun ,sorry) if the situation started up again and they hadn't done anything?

threatening to kill is a criminal offense for which both emma and jason could be charged - other than that there isn't enough to prosecute on unless you count criminal damage.

Erm, Emma threw a tray at Victor first so nothing will happen there - as for the table that was NADIA not Jason.

If Jason and Victor were not there, no violence would have occurred. Marco had it coming to him, as soon as Jason went up for eviction before he did.

Any problems Emma, Michelle, Nadia, Marco, Vanessa, Shell, Stuart, Ahmed and Daniel would have ever had would have been resolved with words.

Victor and Jason only know how to let out their anger is by lifting their fists - they are a danger to everyone in there.

If they didn't play the game SO SERIOUSLY they would not have been so angry.

Saying that, the one who should take the most blame is Endemol.

I shudder at the thought of people like you on a jury.
Emma is the catalyst, egged on by Marco and Michelle.

Vanessa should get 6 penalty points and a £60 fine... she's in a residential area and doing way more than 30 me's per hour...
