Panasonic DMR-XS350 DVD recorder problem
I recently bought a Panasonic DMR-XS350 DVD recorder with twin Freesat Tuners.
This worked fine for a few weeks, then after returning from holiday we found a "Dish Fault" message. On checking the signal condition there was no reading on Input Two. To check if the problem was the recorder or the dish I disconnected Line Two and transferred the cable form Line One into Line Two. Now there was a signal on Input Two but not on Input One. From this I surmised that the Recorder was fine. I then went to the satellite dish and disconnected the cable that had run to Input Two. I then tried the remaining cable in all the LNB outlets and all gave a good signal and picture, confirming no dish fault. In my mind the fault then had to be the cable so I cut off and refitted both F connectors and connected everything back up again. Now I'm still getting no apparent signal on Input Two, and I get a "Dish Fault" message if I watch and record at the same time, but I do get a recording, so both tuners are working. Anyone had a similar experience and can suggest what the problem might be? Dunworkin |

I have read a few reviews where people have said tuner 2 is broken, so this must be a common fault.
Get it replaced under warranty. |
