Transfer songs from iPod Touch to iTunes/My Music

Hey guys, so my dad 'accidentally' deleted iTunes from my home PC and now I have to use iTunes on my laptop but have got it on the manual settings rather than automatic sync. Basically I want to get all the songs that are on my iPod Touch onto my laptop somehow. I don't mind having to download software but I google-d it and there seems to be so much out there I just don't know where to start! I am aware there may also be ways around this without having to download 3rd party software but I'm not sure if this will work with the iPod Touch because it doesn't act like a portable storage device (or does it?) Any help/advice would be much appreciated!

Deleting iTunes shouldn't delete the media files associated with it. Have you tried reinstalling iTunes on the machine in question and letting it sync with what it finds? Everything should still be there, unless more than iTunes was deleted.
