FreakAngels

So is nobody here reading FreakAngels, by Warren Ellis (creator of Transmetropolitan, amongst other things)? It is a free, weekly webcomic started in 2008, although it is also released in TPB.

It's typical Ellis - steampunky and delightfully cynical and funny. It's based loosely on the Midwich Cuckoos and what might have happened had they grown up into dysfunctional adults. Throw in a post-apocalyptic setting and there you have it. The artwork is also very good.

You can check it out here:

I've been reading this for about a year now, and I agree-it is absolutely fantastic.

Another one I've been following for about the same amount of time is 'Weapon Brown' ( www.whatisdeepfried.com ). It's set in a post apocalyptic future, and follows our hero Chuck and his faithful dog Snoop as they fight against 'The Syndicate'.

Chuck and Snoop are (as you may have guessed) based on Charlie Brown and Snoopy, and pretty much every other character is taken from another popular comic-fair warning though, it's pretty violent.
