Just remembered this one. Was when The Black Eyed Peas were promoting The END album, they performed Meet Me Halfway live and I thought Fergie was singing "I'll be looking out, not neigh" for a few months til the video was released. It was really "...night and day", obviously. Lol

Another one: N-Dubz - Girls

On Tulisa's verse, it sounds like she is singing "I am the biggest female bastard ever lived" in a strong English accent.

It's actually "...the biggest female boss that ever lived". I still forget most times I hear this song.

Satnavs have not been mainstream for all that long but the Tymes must have discovered them by the time they topped the chart in 1975 with Ms Grace. I deduce this because they appear to open the song singing "Ooh ooh ooh Ms Grace, satnav the human race"!

The first few times I heard "How you Remind Me" by Nickelback, I misheard "I've been wrong, I've been down, been to the bottom of every bottle" as "I've been wrong, I've been down, been to the bottom of the Fairy bottle..."

I got a fright when I first heard "Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground" by the White Stripes.
Due to the way Jack White was singing,
I misheard "when I hear your lips make a sound" as "when I hear this (N-Word) Sound".

I was worried Jack and Meg were going to pick Skrewdriver as their support band.

Mrs Robinson by Simon and Garfunkel:
Actual lyric 'Heaven holds a place for those who pray'
Misheard lyric 'Kevin holds a place for those who pray'

Nashville Cats by Lovin' Spoonful:
Actual lyric 'Nashville Cats play clean as country water'
Misheard lyric 'Nashville Cats stay clear of Henry Walker'

I spent years agonising over what poor Henry could have done!

Always thoughts Leona said "f***ing around" on Don't Let Me Down, from Echo.

On Róisín Murphy 'Overpowered' at 22 seconds it sounds like 'You d!cked up my doctor' but actually says 'your data my data'

I thought the chorus went "I'm dying of loneliness"
instead of "under neon loneliness".

I thought that too!

I thought the chorus ended with MJ singing,
"There's a chance he's not my son", which I felt
made the song more ambigious.

Oh! I would never have thought he said 'under neon loneliness'. I always thought he was saying 'I'm dining on loneliness' that doesn't really make much sense but neither do the real lyrics really

Workman singing "There's Whiskey and a giro!" instead of "There's whiskey in the jar, oh" (thin Lizzy/various)

Perhaps he thought it was about drinking on the dole.

My friend's son always used to sing young girl with eyes like potatoes for Madonna's La Isla Bonita's young girl with eyes like the desert
He also had another odd lyric in Bob Marley's Buffalo Soldier but I can't for the life of me remember it, was something to do with sausages. I'm thinking now the child must have permanently fixating on food!

We used to deliberately sing go and get stuffed to Billy Ocean though

Around the time Relax was banned, Nik Kershaw released a song called Wide Boy - the first line was 'he made a record', but the first time I heard it I thought he was singing 'he made a rent boy', and I'm like 'how did THIS not get banned?!'

The Nickleback one reminds me of what I used to hear.

Actual Lyrics; "I've been wrong, up and down and to the bottom of every bottle".

What I head; "I've been wrong, up and down and tidbit's bottom is very hallow"

What was I thinking?

I do love Thin Lizzy's version of that.

Despite the song being called La Isla Bonita, when it first came out I thought Madonna was singing "Lucky star for me yeah." And now every time I hear it I have that line running through my head.

WOMACK & WOMACK - LOVE WARS

Misheard Lyric - Make love and peace in a navy lavatory
Actual Lyric - Make love in peace and then never ever cheat

TAVARES - MORE THAN A WOMAN
