On Perfect Day Lou Reed sings "Oh what a perfect day, I'm glad I spend it with you". However, on the Children in Need cover version the lyric sounds like "I'm glad I finished with you"!

Whenever I hear Def Leppard - When Love And Hate Collide
I always seem to ridiculously mishear the last line from below:

Without you
One night alone
Is like a year without you baby
"Do you have a heart of stone"

Misheard as "Keep your hands off Oliver Stone"! lol

On Starship's 'Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now', leading up to the chorus, the female singer has the line:

"Let 'em say we're crazy, what do they know?"

I used to think, until not that long ago, that it was:

"Them say we're crazy..."

The apparent grammatical inaccuracy of the line combined with the slightly angry way in which it was sung always amused me! I prefer my version!

Celine Dion -Loved Me Back To Life

"You loved me back to life from the korma....."

must have been a very dodgy curry she had

A comment on YouTube said that in Bleeding Love by Leona Lewis it sounds like she's singing,
"You call me your ban-an-a"

Now I can't stop thinking that when I listen to it.

Lol! It totally does. That reminds me of how Emeli Sande's chorus to Heaven can sound like "Vinegaaaarr!!" instead of "Then I'm goooonneee."

My father owned the Dire Straits album "Brothers in Arms" and played it to death when
I was a child. One of the tracks, "The Man's Too Strong" , I misheard as

"Now they say I am a white criminal" (it's actually "war criminal").

So I thought "The man in that song must have fought for the South in the
American Civil War, since most of those soldiers didn't like black people and
would have thought most criminals were black. Hence they'd call the
guy in the song "a white criminal"."

The Men at work song "Down under"

For years I though the lyrics where:

"I come from the land down under".
"Where the women glow and the men chunda"

(Chunda being Australian slang for throwing up after drinking a lot. )

The actual lyric was "the men plunder".

Upon hearing All Fired Up by The Saturdays, my mum used to sing along "Oompa loompa, puppy love".

With my sometimes odd hearing, I earlier heard the line "you look like bad news" in 22 by Taylor Swift as "You look like Batman". I much prefer my version!

lol, we had this same thread over on General Discussion and I posted JoJo, 'Too Little Too Late'.

It was in the context of José Mourinho when he was first manager of Chelsea, and constantly in the news, and all I could hear in this song was the line "José, you tread on my face"...

I heard Jamiroquai's hit 'Little L' earlier and it reminded me that I used to think that Jay Kay was singing "you make me love you[...]with a little lell'. What 'lell' could have meant, I don't know!

Similarly, I used to think their song 'Canned Heat' was called 'Candy' and the misheard line about "candy in my heels" meant maybe he had popping candy in his shoes, which was making his feet move!

This line in The Saturdays - What About Us:

''Take it, take it lower
Don't be 'fraid to show her, what you freakin' do''

I always hear,
''Don't be afraid to show her, what Jeffery can do''

Panic At The Disco - I Write Sins Not Tragedies

"As I'm pacing the pews"
Misheard "As I'm facing abuse"

From Madonna- Like A Prayer

When I was little I misheard the line "Let the choir sing".

I thought it was "Level crossing".

Why she would suddenly sing that in an anxious way halfway through the song really did baffle me.

Got another, in Lady Gaga 'Do what you want with my body'

The R Kelly verse, he sings: "You're the Marilyn, I'm the president"

When I hear it, it sounds like: "You're the mailman, I'm the president"

In Culture Club's biggest hit, I used to think Boy George was singing:

"Come-a, come-a, come-a, come-a, come-a to me, Leanne"

It wasn't until I one day saw the song title written down that I knew what it really was! I even heard people request it on the radio a few times and thought they were asking for 'Come To Me Leanne'.

Kylie's new one.
In the chorus I keep hearing "coz tonight I'd rather be...Into the blue"
It is supposed to be "running free" though.

Madonna's Erotic

I Heard "Bill Oddie, Bill Oddis, put you hands all over my body"

Actually "Erotic, Erotic put your hands all over my body"

I was young!

The Cocteau Twins. Err... all of them.

Actually, they were heavily peppered with words that were simply invented for their sound value, but that didn't stop Japanese translators trying to put them on album sleeves.

On Paul Young's Come Back & Stay, the lyric "But don't wait any longer" has always sounded like "Put on weight any longer"!
