I always mishear Clash lyrics and usually like mine better
For London Calling, I heard 'The sun's souvenir' instead of 'The sun's zooming in'. For 'White Man in Hammersmith Palais', I was sure he was singing 'Onstage they ain't got no roots rock rhythm, offstage they ain't got no blues,' and I even thought wow what a great line, until I found out it's actually 'Onstage they ain't got no roots rock rebel, onstage they ain't got no roots... rock rebel.' If you listen it really, really doesn't sound like that though, I swear!!

Also I have to add my name to the list of people who hear 'red wine' in the Lady Gaga song, 'I wanna have boobies' in PCD, and the 'cock at night' bit in the Shania Twain song

I'm not sure it's misheard lyrics but really bad mixing...

Have a listen from 2:05 it's just after that

Never noticed that before. It is unfortunately mixed.

For years I thought Islands in the Stream went "and it's a mystery, that is what we are"

I'm another one who used to think it was "red wine" at the start of Just Dance

WHAT!!!!!! I thought it was just me. I started listening to TLC a few years back and kept thinking the same thing, and actually used it as a password for MySpace before finding out few months later that it was chasing waterfalls.

Just thought of another one...
Timbaland ft Nelly Furtado and Justin Timberlake - Give It To Me
Misheard: "Could you speak up and stop m-mumbling, I don't think you flamin' care"
Actual: "Could you speak up and stop m-mumbling, I don't think you're getting clear"

Lost In Stereo - All Time Low
Misheard: Pretty little tampon.
Actual: Pretty little time bomb.

Thank god I thought it was too inappropriate to sing it out loud. It could have been embarrasing......

Mind you, I wouldn't actually have put it past All Time Low to write a lyric like that for a joke, hence why I wasn't shocked

Ever So Shy - General Fiasco
Misheard: We're cumming in a lesbians hair.
Actual: We're coming now let's pretend.

In my defence it was a youtube comment that made me think that! And it does sound like that!

I thought: They touch the water, they touch the water-aa

Nelly Furtado - I'm Like a Bird

Actual Lyrics: I don't know where my home is, I don't know where my soul is

I remember when I was a kid watching Top of the Pops my brother and I used to take great amusement at the line "I sometimes see you pass outside my door" from Lionel Ritchie's "Hello". We thought he was actually singing "I sometimes see your pants outside my door".

Bad Moon Rising, Rasputina version:

Actual line: There's a bad moon on the rise.

What I genuinely thought the line was for ages: There's a bathroom on the right.

... I'm an idiot.

The Revenant Choir by Versailles is great for these. Someone who can't pronounce English trying to sing in English tends to create Mondegreen city, believe me.

Actual chorus:
Our clan's blood will not stop forever
If you wish I will become a rose
Our clan's blood is a lifetime lover
Stay, choir of sorrow and pains.

My improved version:
I want crabs, Vladivostok pull me back,
If you wish owl become earlobes
I want crabs, Thane, is a left turn? Never!
Today, Choir stole my paints.

I always heard "I will go down with fishes" for that line.

PMSL!

I also own up to being another 'Red Wine' hearer.

I also love the guy who mentioned the line in that Leona Lewis song that was actuall 'fork in the road' but sounded like 'f****ing around'

AND I BLOODY LOVE THIS THREAD!

Am I only person who instead of hearing these lyrics to GaGa's Alejandro:
She hides true love
En su bolsillo.
She's got a halo 'round her finger.
Around you.

Heard these instead:
She hides through love
Like a silver ninja.
She's got a halo 'round her finger.
Around you.

In Lady GaGa's "Just Dance", I thought she was singing -
"And we're all getting hoes tonight"
I thought it sounded rather strange alright that she would be interested in that.
Actual line: "And we're all getting hosed tonight"

Lady Gaga's Alejandro:

"She has both hands in a bucket..."

I don't know what the actual lyrics are but think these can't be right...why would she have her hands in a bucket?!

the lyric is "she has both hands, in her pocket"

My favourite one from the older thread was a 'We Are Family' misheard lyric

Real - Just let me state for the record

Misheard - Just let me staple the vicar

Some misheard lyrics in Saturdays songs here:

In "Up" - "I'm ready to be in control in the crowd, is it good enough for me?" when really its:
"I'm ready to be in control and the ground isn't good enough for me"

In "Work" - "pick up the paces step on it"
when it's "pick up the pace and step on it"
