In "Work" - "pick up the paces step on it"
when it's "pick up the pace and step on it"”

I thought it was crowd too.

I first thought that Nelly feat Kelly's Dilemma had the line:

"No matter what I do, all i think about is you, even when I lick my boob, boy you know I'm crazy about you".

It's really

""No matter what I do, all i think about is you, even when I'm with my boo, boy you know I'm crazy about you"!

'Scuse me will I kiss this guy' from Purple Haze. It's meant to be 'kiss the sky', infact so many people misheard it that apparently Jimi would go over and give Noel Redding a peck on the cheek as a joke

In Katrina and the Waves' Love Shine A Light I thought it was:

"Let the love light Kerry" when it's actually "let the love light carry"

Ah, that makes more sense.

Thank you!

Neyo - One in a Million
Sounds like he is singing "You're not like regular girls, you don't give a damn about the loo"
I think he says "look" but his voice trails off on the word so it sounds strange.

In the PJ Harvey song 'Rid of Me'...

There's a line that says, "Lick my injuries" but for ages I thought she was singing, "Lick my anchovies".

I always thought that it was a weird line that dragged the song down somewhat. Haha.

Is it? The original marching song from WW1 was "pack up your troubles in your old kit bag."

I always thought it was that, but listening to it again, I think the guy does sing "grin back" on Pack Up.

Another one from Pack Up, which I'm sure is wrong, is "Tip toe round the shit going down".

It's too nice to have any form of profanity in it!

Bump cos it's one of the only decent threads here

Shania Twain - You're Still The One

I was only little when this was released and never understood what she was saying right before the chorus. I listened to it recently and understood it a bit more, but thought she was saying:

"They said I bet they'd never make it but just look at the scalded nun..."

It made sense to me at the time and is quite fitting, till I read the lyrics and it was "but just look at us holding on". How boring.

My mum use to think Micheal Jackson's song Billie jean was Billie jean's at my door when the actual lyrics are Billie jeans not my lover. Always make me laugh when i hear this song

That made me laugh so much!!!

My friend thought that the lyrics to Parachute by Cheryl Cole were "I don't need a pair of shoes, baby, if I've got you " ..she always found it weird as to why Cheryl was singing about shoes until I corrected her

Shania Twain's 'That Don't Impress Me Much':

"I can't believe you kiss your cock goodnight.."

But it's car... Obviously.

The Automatic - Monster

Real lyric: What's that coming over the hill, is it a monster? IS IT A MONSTERRRRR?

Lyric my friends girlfriends mum used to sing: What's that coming over the hill, is it a bus stop? IS IT A BUS STOOOOP?

I now sing this new lyric every time I hear the song on the radio or on my iPod!

In Cheryl Tweedy's "Promise This", it sounds like she is singing "I don't wanna talk talk, I don't wanna talk talk" when in fact she is singing in french
