There are no sound dips, but they cut the feeds altogether when they are participating in comps and ceremonies CBS reserves for broadcast shows.

The feeds are also cut for privacy, libel, copyright and other legal constraints.

But, unlike the C4 feed in the UK swearing and any sexual stuff will be shown, and at any time of day.

You would be confident when the best case scenario for that week is one of your closest allies leaving and the worst case scenario is you go home yourself? Personally I would be trying to make some sort of deal to save my allies

Instead of a sound cut, they replace the feed with a bubbles screen. When the HGs are doing competitions it's a trivia quiz.
If you looks on sites like http://www.jokersupdates.com/ they use the abbreviation FOTH. This is a reference to the earlier days of BB, when they replaced the feed with a photo of the Front Of The House.

Lucky to get picked? Why is she not going straight up on the block? Is he planning to backdoor her? That could backfire.

Which is fine, if you know there's a deal to be made. In this case both of them know there isn't.

Matt knows he will either be nominated straight out, or be used as a replacement. So, why not front it up? Better that, than say....Enzo's ass kissing.

Brendon doesn't know Matt can't make a deal as he is close to everyone else in the house, other than Kathy, though. As proven by the fact that he tried to make some sort of deal along the lines of Matt not going up on the block this week and Brendon being safe next week if Matt wins HoH. Matt shut that idea down straight away, for obvious reasons, and didn't offer any other possible plans. Yes Brendon does clearly respect that sort of gameplay but it should also tell him that Matt feels perfectly safe this week.
