Have said before that whilst show definitely needs freshening up a wholesale change of the pro line up was the last thing on the list that needed changing.

Wonder how many were pushed Like you said surely not all of them decided to just leave.

Biggest upset for me is losing Fred and Mel. They are my favourite PROs and will miss them, the show will certainly not be the same for me, same with the tour.

I hope that it was their decision not to return. Mel is doing choreography for Holiday on ice so there was already a bit of me expecting this news. Also they have been saying for some time that they will have one more year but they did keep coming back. Maybe this was the year where they are starting to think about slowing down. Also Fred is always lumbered with the not so good partners, I'm sure that gets tiring. Last years show was rather poor and the thing that kept me watching was the Pros, think this year is going to very different and I really am not looking forward to it like I usually am.

I guess Matt E, Frankie, Dan and Maria will all be back, no surprise there. They seem to be T&D's favourites. My opinion of course

Gutted - when will Strictly and DOI realized some of us like the pros the way they are and that it is nothing to do when them if something isn't right with the show it is normally the celeb lineup or having one great person that makes the rest average and takes away the competition aspect.

So from Stuart twitter the pros that are leaving are -

Himself - not surprised never really made a big impression never had a good enough partner

Pav - after the Sharon incident last year and not being on the tour I kind of saw this coming through not particularly happy about it

Molly - well wanted her back to give her another chance after last year but after Nina was announced and was on the tour I saw this coming

Matt G - Complete surprise with him being on the tour and doing so well with Daniella I was sure that he and Brianne would both be staying.

Mel & Fred - shocked the best couple on the show and their routines on tour are amazing don't understand this decision at all.

Also he said we will only know 5 pros but there are

Matt E, Brianne, Maria, Daniel, Alexandra and Frankie

so does that mean someone else has left as well???

If you read Stuarts Tweets he also says Susie and andrei wont be back.

Oops just realized I didn't mention Susie and Andrei - not surprise as they are having be getting good partners and have be progressively be less involved in the tour or the show but not happy about it - they should have been given bettter partners.

Unfortunately it is hardly suprising given the way she and Andrei were treated- as when it came to doling out the celebs they were always stitched up -(Claire excepted) why does Maria always get the best ones - something isn't right there

Maybe some are just bored of it all, or maybe ITV didnt want some of them back given we heard rumours of certain pros getting a bit touchy and grumbling too much (ie the Nintendo games that came out and some pros whined about) ITV maybe decided enough was enough and got rid of them.

You are probably right in a lot of this. I never expected Pav to return after 'Sharongate'. Andrei & Susie have had a rough deal with duff partners for the last few years so am not surprised there either. I think it's a shame that Molly wasn't given another chance but DOI don't have a great track record of inviting back pros who don't get very far in their 1st series. Also, reading between the lines I do wonder if Stuart jumped before he was pushed also. Am glad he is doing other work but I don't think you would give up DOI to work on cruise ships out of choice.

Fred & Mel and Matty G are the ones that I would at least have expected to be invited back. it might be their choice to leave but if that's the case I'm surprised they haven't said anything - when Kristina decided to leave last year she was quite up front about it.

Stuart named 8 that weren't coming back including himself but also that only 5 were. My bet would be that those 5 are Matt, Dan, Maria, Brianne & Alex (Luk will also join the show). So I wonder if we are also going to lose Frankie - again I would have thought she would be invited back.

Maybe they chose to leave, they are doing another show from what Mel said on FB the other day.

Think Luk and Alex will take up that role though there are pretty sensational together

Mel is currently assistant choreographer for Holiday On Ice so she's pretty busy by the sounds of it!

Im actually happy enough about the pro shake up as I knew it was coming and I know the replacements will be great. I was getting a bit bored with some of the longer standing pros especially when it came to the tour as felt Fred and Mels routines were getting a bit samey IMO.

Fred, Andrei, Pavel and Matt G No eye candy this year. Will miss them all, there all great skaters. Will really miss Andrei & Susie and Fred & Mel's great routines. Will also miss Matt as I loved him and Danniella together and he had a great personality.

Shame there going.

Mel also worked on a couple of shows with Krez over the summer so things are going great for her in that regard.

Wait till you see the new eye candy

I have a feeling that Frankie is leaving as well as Nina to me is a similar style of skater and will more than likely be dancing with Matt E in pro dances the only other one I can think of is Maria and that she has decided to leave due to missing her family

I think Alex and Luk are incredible but I would rather have both than either or.
