Have they said where they will be performing? If they do a weekday matinee in London, I might take a few hours off work and go and see it.

They said the other venue details have still to be officially confirmed but as soon as details are available they'll let us know.

Apparently they weren't quite expecting the Mayflower Theatre to announce the details quite so soon, but because they have put info up for tickets going on sale to members from this Monday they had to make the announcement sooner than planned.

If it's going to be a 10 week tour then I guess that rules them out of at leat 1 of the strictly tours if not both. I'd rather see them on the pro tour than the celeb one as I loved the pro tour and I'm not so fussed on going to the celeb one.

The celeb tour is from Jan-Feb, and this Tango tour is from April-June which is the same months as this years Pro tour, so I think it might be likely they do the celeb tour (although they haven't confirmed on that yet) but not the Pro tour if there is one as the dates would likely clash with their own tour.

The details have been on the Mayflower site for ages. [I bought tickets about a month ago.]

Yeah, i don't know why the other venues are so slow in being released. The Mayflower ones were weeks ago and now these Manchester ones are only the 2nd venue to be for sale.

Hopefully now, some of the others might go on sale too.

From the blurb:
Set in a late night bar in downtown Buenos Aires and featuring some of the finest Tango dancers in the world,
...Who are not actually named. But I'm guessing won't include Zotto or Vidort or Rojas...

Midnight Tango, takes you on a journey into a heart of this intoxicating city. As danger and excitement, joy and jealousy, pain and passion all combine – this is a spectacular and explosive evening not to be missed!
Mmmm.

I think I may miss it.

Midnight Tango
The following Press Release for Vincent and Flavia's Tango Tour was published today.

ARLENE PHILLIPS AND ADAM SPIEGEL PRESENT
“MIDNIGHT TANGO”

A NEW SHOW CREATED BY AND STARRING

STRICTLY’S VINCENT AND FLAVIA

NATIONWIDE TOUR BEGINS ON 6 APRIL 2011

Vincent Simone and Flavia Cacace have dazzled television audiences for six series of the BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing with their stunning tango routines. Now they have created their own live show, Midnight Tango, a breathtaking evening bringing to life all the drama, sensuality and elegance of this most exciting of dance forms.

Midnight Tango is set in a late-night bar in downtown Buenos Aires. Vincent and Flavia will be joined by ten of the finest tango dancers in the world, and, between them, they will take the audience on a journey into the heart of this intoxicating city, as danger and excitement, joy and jealousy, pain and passion combine into a spectacular and explosive evening.

At the prospect of touring the country in Midnight Tango, Flavia says, “Vincent and I have been performing since a very young age, all over the world and in ballrooms all around the United Kingdom. We have had only a small taster of performing on a stage this year and it was a thrilling experience. The fact that we can finally tour with our own Argentine tango show is so exciting, it's difficult to put into words how we feel. We hope that, as always, we will have amazing support all round the British Isles and we hope to bring a little passion into people’s lives...”

The nationwide tour of Midnight Tango is produced by Arlene Phillips and Adam Spiegel. According to Arlene, "Watching Vincent and Flavia performing their Argentine tango, I feel, is as thrilling as dance gets. They have thrilled audiences on Strictly Come Dancing, and their new theatre show is a great opportunity for people up and down the country to see them live and feel the excitement."

A few tweets had been made to Flavia asking about a DVD being filmed for this Midnight Tango tour, and she has replied today that yes, there will be one

We are going to have a tour DVD yay xx
I had hoped last year we would have got a Pro Tour DVD, and was disappointed when we didn't, so I'm really looking forward to this one coming out

A colleague has an adult and an OAP ticket for sale for a Matinee Show in Oxford sometime in April. Though I have explained the particular type of dancing they do, so she may well go herself as she does like the Latin stuff.
