I have up to felt most sympathy with emma and gang. Dhe clearly has a very young disposition and is vulnerable. Victor and Jay are Alpha males with too much testosterone for there own good. And appearto be very nasty indeed

Ive just seen uncut clip wer Emma says ....."black guy........etc"

couldnt work it out.

If she is racist ?

is this what provoked victor??

Someone help me sort this out!

Yes she is racist and yes it is what provoked victor...saying "youre acting like some kind of black guy" will hit a raw nerve with any black man...

Whether she is racist or not, she is appallingly stupid, socially inept and frankly a danger to herself and others. She spat at Victor and yelled "I'll f***ing kill you," at him. She needs to see a psychiatrist.

Personally I think she meant to say "stop acting like a gansta" instead of "black man". She just doesn't have the ability to articulate herself.

I doubt wether she was being racist, but when you bring the colour of someone's skin into a potentially violent situation, you're asking for huge problems.

yes i think I agree as an british asian I have encountered a whole spectrum of racism and xenaphobia from liberal sensitivity to right wing imperialism . I think Emma is just naiive and inarticulate ... but it is hard to work out what her views might be when she is talking privatley with her friends....

I agree, I think she was referring to Victor acting like some sort of gangsta rappar ala 50 cent or someone similar rather than being racist.

I think Victor does act like this as well.

And he obviously needs a name badge as he doesn't seem to know who is he.

That is such complete nonsense. Calling someone out for 'acting like some kind of black guy' is not racist. And any black man who would let that hit a nerve is not at ease with their own colour.

You've been trolling all over this board Mr Blonde. It's pretty pathetic. And you're clearly trying to cause a racial divide on this board. Again, it's pathetic.

she is socially inadequate, she never listens to anyone at any time. even when she shuts her big mouth whilst someone else speaks she is clearly thinking about what she is going to say next.
i don't think she is a racist - but i do think she took a dislike to Victor and has used everything her tiny mind can think of to insult him and came up with two words.

Michelle must have the patience of a saint to have spent that time with her in the bedsit

There is no reason for mentioning someone's skin colour when having an argument with them, unless it is an 'issue' for you. She wouldn't have addressed Jason as 'some white guy' for example.

I say she is racist. She is also ignorant and gormless overall, but the racism is in there. It's part of her.

I don't think she is a racist. She struggles to understand and asks for help all the time. So when victor called her stupid it really hurt. She had time for it to build up inside while locked away , a few drinks and being face to face and she blew because she wasn't capable of anything else. Wasn't that what they wanted. I feel sorry for her. She as been used to up the ratings.

yes she is socially inadeqaute. but without alcohol and a threatening guy looming over her giving her violent vibes who would she attack?

I just feel sorry for most of them incl Victor to a level
for having something inside them for wanting to appear on it in the first place something must be missing or wrong. I know its a cliche but they are all craving somthing that they didnt get ...... It could just be the money of course ..
I dont feel sorry for Jay though. i think he's the worst

If she is not racist then she is totally stupid, and has no place in the house either way.

This has already been said, but to reiterate:
Emma made a remark in the heat of a fight which could be construed as racially offensive. It doesn't mean she's a racist.
She's quite inarticulate and lacking in social skills.
Her educational shortcomings are obvious from her inability to understand fairly simple words (seen when reading out laminates and asking questions like "What does comeuppance mean?")
She is emotionally immature - witness her running around the bedsit when informed she and Michelle were going back into the house - she looked like a 6-year old on Christmas morning.
Again, I question C4 / Endemol's motives in putting someone like her in the house when she's clearly not equipped to deal with conflict appropriately.

I'm not defending Victor, BTW, he didn't help the situation, and he's clearly intelligent enough to know better, but he has his own insecurities (hence his need to act tough), which is a shame, because when he lets his guard down he's actually quite funny.

No she did not make a racist comment, but as it was said in an argument it was interpreted that way.

Emma was referring to Victors *fake* mannorisms.

IMHO people born into a black culture find it fine to act that way ( walk the walk, talk the talk), it does no harm & its what they enjoy. Those of us who live with them find it strange because we do not see race or skin colour but someone pretending to be someone who they are not. For most people its not the skin colour but where you are from that counts, so black white yellow or green does not come into the equation, but you must conform to the perceived image of what a "British" person acts like. ( as opposed to an American in the Bronx for example.) Equally there are many people with black skin who abhor the immitations as discribed above.

However, to pick on people for the reasons described is like condemming girls who wear hipster trousers as "dam hippies" or people who have more than 2 pearcings as sadomasochist

I do beleive what we are seeing is an example of "culturalism" not racism, only "culturalism " is not yet in the dictionaries.
