How do you vote?

The various threads bring up an interesting point. Given that BB is an entertainment tv show done for our amusement, so do you:

- Want the people you like to stay in the house, the "nice" people who do not kick up a fuss and get on with each other

...or..

- want the troublmakers who will grab headlines, the nasty people, the psychos, the contraversial characters to stay in the house.

I go for the latter. Look at "the incident" 2 nights ago. best thing to happen to BB maybe EVER. Don't let the nciey nicey people stay in, let the real characters stay in. Its only a tv show, and we want the best entertainment possible. If you hate someone a lot, that means they should NOT leave.

i sometimes get the feeling that people want to kick out the real characters like Victor, nasty nick etc, and replace them with bores like Gos and Cameron.

I understand your point, but I just can't vote for people I like, when some idiot stands against them. Down with the Jungle Kittens!

Same here. I know its the wisest thing to keep the irritating ones in but I can't stand the thought that they might think they are popular for their obnoxious behaviour. (I'm talking to you sealboy!!!!!)

I, too, agree with you up to a certain point, but if we follow that through to its logical conclusion, we would vote out all the "nice" housemates to be left with all the most-hated contestants. One of these would the be "rewarded" with the prize money for being a prat.

Is it not possible to be nice and interesting? Isn't that why Brian won series 2?

I also think it is in most people's nature to vote out the nasty contestant because you are paying for that call. You are not going to pick up the phone for someone you are ambivalent about.

The show would maybe be very different if you voted for who you wanted to stay in, rather than who you want to vote out. A statement that has been made many times in the past, I believe.

I've only voted a couple of times but would always look at the big picture. Everytime someone you don't like wins a weekly vote it increases the chances of them reaching and therefore winning the final. Get them out at any opportunity, I say. Reckon a very significant problem last year was that Cameron hardly ever came up for the weekly vote (if ever?) thereby giving him an easy ride to the final and the ultimate horror of a result. nd

I never vote,I watch and enjoy the show but I don't spend any cash on it.

This is always the dilemma.

HM's nominate - they'll obviously nominate people who are loud, argumentative, obnoxious - i.e. the interesting ones.

The public vote out who they dislike, i.e. the loud, argumentative etc.

Which generally leaves the boring ones in, the obvious exception that springs to my mind being Jade, who lasted to the last 3, IIRC.

This year it's a bit better so far - I won't really miss Dan or Vanessa if either of them go, but I can see the final 3 being Dan, Shell and Stu - not a terribly exciting prospect.
