WE all know Alcohol brings out the violent side of people... arguments may be fun but when it's risking the life of the show I think the producers will need to come up with something different.
How about the harmless weed?
We may see alot of people going ape for munchies, out of control giggling and possibly more nudity but hey!, NO VIOLENCE.

Who votes for a little weed in the house?

Excuse me?

Alcohol kills thousands of people each year. Only 1 death (EVER!) has been reported of an individual because of canabis and many people argue the case for that is extremely shady.

Yes, it's less harmfull than bloody paracetemol, cough medicine and nicotine patches!
(canabis doesn't have to be smoked so no need to take that route)

Wouldn't make very interesting viewing, would it? All the HM's on the sofas, monged out of their heads, stuffing Pringles and spicy dip and talking bollocks for hours on end.

Yeah yeah
violence and fights up and down the country every night of the week thanks to idiots drinking.
screws your brain, screws your liver, makes many people violent and causes so many deaths it shouldn't exist.

Weed costs too much?. It's free and very very easy to grow.

You want facts?. Talk to thousands of people aorund the country who take canabis to ease their pain the natural way

Whatever

well if its any consolation timepilot I would have voted for an emergency drop of weed into the house. I think it would have been much appreciated and would have done them a world of good, unlike the alcohol their current giving them

Um... where did I condone excessive use of alcohol.

Like I said there's no weed argument so you have to deride alcohol.

And you are not talking about using it to ease pain you are talking about using it for recreation.

Your arguments got as many holes in it as a sinking ship. But seeing as you're probably a weed head I fully expect you to have the arrogance and distorted view that goes along with consumption.

Kinda like trying to convince an alcoholic they've got a problem with alcohol.

Weed is harmful. fact.

Err... dodgy ground that one. There is no proven causative link - all you are observing there is that people with 'mental problems' choose to smoke 'weed'. Doesn't mean that their mental problems wouldn't have emerged without the use of 'weed', more likely that people with mental problems search for mood altering substances.

I for one know, having experienced both, that I would 100% prefer to be in a room full of stoned aggressives than drunken aggressives. Ask any prison warder, prisons would be unmanageable if they really stopped the inmates getting their hands on their weed.

no I did NOT say that people with 'mental problems' choose to smoke weed. I said weed brings out hidden mental problems. some people can get away with it, some people can't.

and there are dozens of research papers that suggest it does bring out mental problems.

obviously you've never seen someone's personality change from outgoing and active to subdued and paranoid as a result of smoking weed.

I agree with you, but for some it can be a positive remedy.
Kitten looked like a stoner to me she has the eyes, Dan a little too, Victor probably, Venessa-Stuart-Nadia-Emma maybes and Shell-Emma-Michelle-Ahmed never touched it.

I started this thread as I was pointing out an ALTERNATIVE to drinking 24/7.

I've already made my argument that IF the housemates need a more relaxed atmosphere, where would the harm be in giving them weed rather than Alcohol which most of them can't handle. Try taking in what I said. It's obvious you're knocking it without knowing anything about the plant. Try reading up a little.

You said it was harmful!
100 times less harmful than the alcohol they're constant being fed by BB so what's your real problem?

Quote:

No, I think you're simply uninformed and scared of anything that you're not used to. I'm sure if you're feeling miserable you'll take anything the doctors throws at you... just like you probably think a crate of beer is just what a housemate with anger problems needs.

It's been 8 years since I've smoked any but quite often I have some in chocolate bar form from the Gibson Therapeutic Help foundation.

If Ahmed smoked weed he would talk about his amazing erectile stamina and his desire to have hundreds of women bend over for him as he moves down the line servicing them.

Oh wait, hold on.....no wonder he sleeps so much. What is in that tea of his?

They could provide the housemates with salvia divinorum X10 concentrate, that would be hilarious and legal.

Speaking as a Prison Warder (we prefer to call ourselves Officers these days, ahem):

The Prison Service does not allow, tolerate or "turn a blind eye" to the use of cannabis or any other illegal drug in prisons and takes the misuse of drugs very seriously.

Having said that, I have seen prisoners who have managed to get their hands on the stuff (don't ask how) and they've never been violent when stoned.

I've also seen the effects of cannabis on those with mental health problems and it exacerbates their condition, without a doubt.

Whether it causes mental health problems is open to debate, but speaking to relatives of people who have developed mental health problems while using cannabis, they very often say that the sufferer was completely normal before using the drug. However, it could just be that cannabis triggered the condition, which was laying dormant.
