Did anyone watch/record the Man with the Golden Gun on ITV1 HD?

I recorded and watch it on Sunday, but the sound quality was terrible. Was it just my box or did any one else have the same problem??

Didn't notice anything, although the picture wasn't as good as Live And Let Die.

I watched it with the full speaker system on and it was OK.
Not 5.1 of course just stereo.

I though that the funniest bit was in the credits:

"Golden gun made by Colibri Lighters"....

They show the new showing of Bond on Sunday afternoons, tommorow is "The Spy Who Loved Me" 16:15-18:35. The Saturday afternoon is a repeat of the previous Sunday, given the rights were likely pretty expensive they are getting their moneys worth- the fact you missed it last time & caught it today kind of proves it was worth it too.

It depends how the source material is "processed", before being broadcast!

It's common practise to put noise gates in the stereo sound channels. This is often done badly, and can clip speech, making it unintelligable. Another fault is unganged noise gates, which wrecks the stereo .......

Not to mention using the wrong Dolby decoding on analogue soundtracks, etc etc......

All depends on how good the technician on duty is. Especially if it's Sunday afternoon. That's assuming there is one, in these credit crunch times .........
