Wow. Cheryl Cole actually can't sing
I used to crack jokes at how weak Cheryl's voice was but I don't think I was aware just how truly dreadful her voice is. She's actually rubbish, cannot sing in tune or hold her breath and it's a joke that she can make £250,000 for a half hour set
I mean, look at this performance for instance:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h4qjARIR1jk God, how hard is it as a professional singer to sing "ooooooooh" in tune? and how about this more recent one? ![]() http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lNbUaN23pDo "rain on meeeeeee-e--e--e-ee-ee let it raaaaa------aaaa--i-i-i--------n" Horrible. I defy anyone to look me square in the eye and tell me that this woman can sing. She can't! And, not to be rude but her fans are deluding themselves if they think she can. On the plus she's really pretty and that is one of the only things that have fuelled her success, I am sure. |

She's not great live but she can sing. I like her voice anyway.

One of her best performances is the snow patrol collab she did. Set the fire to the third bar. 10 times better then Martha. Martha's voice is utterly boring. Cheryl brings a bit of life |

Cheryls not an artist or musician. She doesn't need to sing live as that's not her thing. Auto-tune, backing tracks are her thing - she's a recording act who dances to her records.
She's solely an entertainer and performer. REAL Musicians and artists don't need to have great voices as their art and work makes up for it. Cheryl ISNT a musician and doesn't actually need to be able to sing - just dance along to her pre-recorded-no-soul-or-passion-written-by-someone-else-for-anyone-who-paid-for-the-rights-pop

In her defense, I saw her sing live at the Black Eyed Peas concert at the M.E.N in May and she was brilliant, and her entire set was live.

I think everyone knows Cheryl's not the best singer by now
Who cares? She's a manufactured pop star, she's never claimed to have a great voice. She sounds alright on studio recordings and thats all that matters really. I mean I'm not a fan of her solo material at all, but she sounds good on Girls Alouds' songs. She's got a solo GA track called Crazy Fool, and she sounds nice enough on that. |

This is not news to me.
I (and pretty much, the rest of the U.K.) know she can't sing. Not, "she can sing, but just not very well" She categorically cannot sing. That is all  |

Her performances are amazing. Her Brits performance, even though it wasn't live was fantastic. The audience have a good time, what's the problem? |

She could be the worse singer ever, but since she has became bigger than her music she'll still make millions and sell loads of records.

I didn't say she was, I said she could be.
There comes a time when someone gets known for their celebrity rather than their music. A lot of people fit into that category, unfortunately. |

I can think of many singers who are just as bad as if not worse than Cheryl.

I have only the smallest amount of respect for Cheryl simply because she's made the best of what she's got. I can sing better than her but yet she is the one making the money, so the girl has to get some credit. Plus she may sound beyond awful when live, but after studio magic she's no different to the Britney, Drake, Madonna, Heidi Montag, and Katie Price's of this world! |
