Looking to get a pair of wireless headphones for use with my TV (to shut out the kids when the football is on ).

Any recommendations? I don't want to spend much if possible, but have no idea what to look for in terms of quality, features etc.

Thanks!

I'd recommend the Sennheiser sets any day.

We have three pairs in our house - 2 x RS 120s and a set of RS 130s.

One connected to my Sony AV Receiver in one bedroom, another RS 120 hooked up to the PC in the other bedroom and the RS 130s reside downstairs with my father's B & O system. All use separate channels.

I bought the RS 130s from Play.com for £59.99, not sure if they still do them and I bet they aren't at that price anymore. The other 120s I got from Play.com at £54.99.

I wouldn't recommend any others because I've had bad experiences with Panasonic and Sony wireless headphones including difficulty of use, poor battery life and dreadful reception/sound quality. The Sennheisers are incredibly sensitive and suffer no reception problems in our house - despite sometimes having 3 sets running simultaneously.

With the RS range, you simply plug the transmitter into your TV via it's 3.5mm headphone socket or RCA jacks if you get a converter. The transmitter also doubles up as a stand, and recharges the batteries as well.

The latest are the digital ones, RS 160, 170, 180
Absolutely no hiss at all
But it can drop out at times, it depends on the fabric of your home
I have a pair of 170's which are closed back, in hot weather they can get a bit sweaty around the lugs

But I wouldn't change them for that, as they are excellent.

I bought them from Amazon for £153 , but I see they've come down a bit.

Thanks.

I've ordered a pair of RS 110s. A cheaper option I know, but at £35 (Play.com) I figured they would a good starter option.
