Not really sure what to make of it. There's just so much going on, but at the same time...not a whole lot going on.

I like it, but it kind of comes across like they spent so much money and time planning it when a far simpler video (with the same premise) would have sufficed.

Totally respect their efforts though. I don't see them as sell outs at all, and I think the amount of creativity and planning going into this era puts to rest this attitude of 'selling out'. Despite the electro synths going on, there's nothing generic and 'easy' about this video.

Oh, and they look fiiiiiiiiine.

Love it!
They've spent alot of time filming this and it wasn't cheap either but it's a bit too much for TV so i doubt it will be shown

Brilliant sofar this is shaping up tobe the best Era for Mcfly after hearing alot of their Album demos i think it's brilliant(Foolish,Here comes the storm ect)

With regards to the song, I don't blame McFly fans for disliking the change in style, but I don't see how anyone can call it 'generic' - the pounding drum loop, funky synths, and huge guitar riffs all add up to make this easily the heaviest song they've ever done. I couldn't see any other boyband making a song like this.

I still think McFly's best era was when they first came out. Room On The Third Floor was just such a great album. Beautiful songs with great melodies.

Don't really like Party Girl all that much yet. Hope it's a grower.

Also like that they've spent a lot of money on the music video. But vampires? Really?! BAND WAGON MUCH?! Thought they'd be more creative than that  But obviously, it's not just their decision and whether we like it or not, apparently vampires are [still] hot

Plus, with all the sex-esque scenes, I assume they think that will appeal to an older audience?? That, or they think it'll just drive their hormone ridden fans even wilder! Not saying they're all young though

Exactly. It's only generic if you think all electro-infused music sounds the same.

I can totally understand why people are a bit hesitant because it does sound so different to their older stuff, but they couldn't just continue making pop/rock music if they wanted to remain relevant. They've been there and done that, if that's the McFly people want they have 4 other albums of it.

Style of the song is good, the song itself just hasn't sunk in yet. The video has a good concept, even if its a bit cliched but suffers from some horrendous editing.

My god I could hardly recognise them!

I like this change of direction, a bit heavier sounding. Ive only heard this song once and I really like it. They couldnt have gone on doing the boy band pop thing anymore, their audience has grown up and the young teenagers today mainly like R & B. So wise to move their sound on.

Video looked fun but not original..

I don't know if its just because its early and my brain isn't functioning properly but I don't get whats going on except Harry is a vampire. But yes they've put a lot of effort into it, and the song is slightly beginning to grown on me

Oh dear.

The video looks like something The Sugababes would do, and the song is so different from them. I like it when people progress but it sounds like an updated S Club 7 sound or if Jedward were decent. Why are they playing instruments? All I can hear is a synthesiser and a drum machine.

Soon to be 8th well hopefully
They deserve it the song written by them(as was the album as allways) and the video was all their own idea

Sounds nothing like an Updated Sclub7
When playing it live they use their Instruments and turn it into quite a good rocky song but i guess they do in the video because thats like their trade mark

The video is being played every Hour on the Box and the track is now B list on Radio 1 up from the C list last week

The Video's intresting, happy they did something differnet than moving like a prick behind a background or in some comfined space which is bascally one colour, thats the typical video nowaday, espically with male artists. SO Kudos for them.

And I kinda of like it a bit, But i would never tell anyone that LOOOOL.

Love it!

Haha it's just be shown on 4Music.

Just because they wrote dosen't mean they deserve to be number one, i can't believe they've had 8 number one's but then again none of them really (apart from their debut) were paticully big.

Five colours,Obviously,I'll be ok and All about you(their biggest hit to date) did really well sales wise

Star girl and Please, please didn't sell too bad really.

Only their latest Number 1(2007) didn't sell too well

Well... obviously otherwise it wouldn't be live....

OK, I take the S-Club thing back. It sounds like something these god awful excuses for R&B would come out with (like Jason Darulo and all those wannabes)

I don't like MyFly and have never really disliked them either, but this song is cheap.

I think it does actually sound quite McFly once you get over the initial shock of the synths instead of guitar/drums.

No doubt when their live version with instruments is shown more, people will connect the dots.

It's like they're trying to sound like Lady Gaga....I like Lady Gaga, but these guys were basically a cute Monkees-style pop band, and now they aren't relevant anymore....the singles from their first album will always be cheesy goodness though

It kind of sounds like a RedOne track, a bit like Bad Romance almost. And the video reminds me of Freak Like Me by Sugababes.

So yeah, just uninspired really. Particularly the vampire theme, its been done a million times before
