Hey, sorry if there's already been a thread made on this, but does anyone know the name of the song played in the UK advert for the VMA awards. The US advert has Rockstar 101 by Rihanna playing in the backgroung, but the UK version has some song I never heard of, and I can't find the name of it anywhere. Couldn't really tell you what it goes like except it says "Number one" repeatedly. Does anyone know it. I'd be ever so grateful

Sounds like a sample from Queen's 'We Will Rock You' with vocals from someone like Miley Cyrus/Christina Aguilera. Probably just a promo thing recorded specifically to promote this sh*tty awards ceremony.

I dunno it kind of sounded like a snipett from a song. Don't think it sounds like we will rock you but it does sound like a mixture of Miley Cyrus, Christina Aguilera and a bit of Alicia Keys? But I can't find anything anywhere

It's so weird how different people can hear different artists? Its definitely two different people, I agree that it sounds like Miley at the start and then Alicia Keys

"today is the day, you're ready to play" sound like the first set of lyrics?

I, too, would love to know who/what this is and if it is indeed a mashup so lets keep trying to work it out!

Well if it is a mash up then what are the names of the songs being mashed up? I don't recognise any of the parts of the song in the ad? Never came across a song that was this hard to find

Oh yeah, no totally, thats what I was trying to figure out? I'm a huge fan of Alicia and I really like Miley as well so I've got all of both of their albums and I don't recognise any songs as those in the advert?

You could try emailing the VMA people or MTV's ad department? I did that once with the song on the Monster.co.uk advert that was absolutely amazing but nobody knew what it was and they emailed me back telling me the full details which was pretty cool of them?
