It was smart, but it is only a stand-out move this series because no one else formed an alliance. In pretty much every other series, there have been at least two alliances, so in a way, it was just a defacto type move to make. They have done well to hide it though, I'll give them that.

As for loyalty, I think they have only remained loyal due to not being tested. Look at what happened this past week with Matt. Their first true test and they were quite prepared to sacrifice him.

Ya, they really are the biggest idiots I've seen on the show. The brigade was a good idea but not if your not making side maneuvers for the future so you don't get double crossed without a backup plan.......
